Went there with a 19 person group. They brought up the food in a world record time and it all tasted amazing! Truly legends.

Very good takeaway.unlike every other takeaway with shami kebabs that are too spicy, this shami kebab was not spicy and was very well done which was great. Very clean place, and excellent customer service.

Don't come to Dandenong without stopping here for the most tender, juicy kebabs you'll find in Melbourne. There's plenty of high end restaurants in town that simply don't know how to cook meat this well.
Whenever we venture from the other side of town, this is a must do stop.

Simple delicious food prepared by friendly staff. The shredded chicken roll is a must try item off the menu. Good value for money.

Omg this place is amazing! Such authentic Turkish food. All the kebabs were finger lickin' good and the bread was soft and fresh.

Great food even better prices. The people I have met here have been so welcoming and warm sharing different cultures and even let me try some of their traditional drink. I love this place bread is always so fresh and the skewers are next level you can share a meal here or if your a big eater you can go it solo but the food never disappoints.

Excellent little find, this place. I've eaten at a few other Afghan restaurants in the area, but this one is my favourite.

They may not have an extensive menu like other places, but the quality and freshness of their food more than makes up for it.

My go to dish is the four charcoal kebab skewers, a mix of lamb and chicken, along with the famous Afghani flatbread, salad and sauce. Washed down with a delicious Afghani tea.

So, visited this joint for the first time on Sunday as we had planned to go for some Afghani food. Had no idea what we would get. Walked in and very courteous right away. The aromas, the heat from the charcoal pit and the sound of sizzling meat cooking invades your senses and you start to salivate. Service is good and prompt. Food.l freshly cooked takes just the right time to come.
But that's when this experience takes you up another level. I love to take my time and savour the food; did not happen this time! I almost inhaled my food! The soft juicy meat melts in your mouth. The rice provides a sublime addition and you are hard pressed to choose between the different types of meats presented to you. Every morsel, every bite you take you wish would last forever, but then you cant help but go for more and more. Brilliant!
The portions are very very generous for the price that you pay. We had ordered more, thinking portions won't be that big. We ended up taking food home with us as well!
But the guess what.we were back there the next day! This time we actually ordered MORE as we decided to have the same for next 2 days! We live about 90mins drive away from the restaurant!

My all time top 5 for life now!

Have been going to this place for over 13yrs now. Still the best Afghan kebabs that I've had in and around Melbourne and their tangy chutney/sauce is awesome.

These guys really know how to cut and cook meat, the kabab wrap was excellent, the meat so soft and juicy and flavoursome

This is authentic Afghan style, with large pieces of meat that are slowly charred over hot coal.

Balkh the textbook example of what a fine middle eastern restaurant should be like. Balkh is exceptional in the areas of perfecting a restaurant. The staff there are absolutely amiable and helpful, but not only are their staff great but the food is delicious. Even though we were dining in past the closing time they still let us stay and weren't forceful to let us out. Thanks Balkh for such a great dining experience!
