Balgownie Estate Vineyard Resort & Spa

Stayed for a long weekend at the start of Spring. Comfortable 'apartment sytle' Queen room with a spa and nice views over the valley. The resort is situated fairly centrally in the valley and is within 5-10min of quite a few wineries. The staff were friendly. There's a spa/heated indoor pool on-site and the restaurant is up-scale. They offer quite a few activities, but we didn't have the time to do any of them this time. The downside was the 'queen' bed was really two single beds pushed together, so there was a big lump where they met in the middle. It's a fairly expensive hotel so I would have expected an actual queen bed for what I paid. They had movies on demand, which was a nice touch, but only on the TV in the living room and not the bedroom TV.

Balgownie was fantastic, I would definitely return. John, who gave our tastings was amazing. The venue is beautiful, and the views were excellent. Would highly recommend.

Service was good.did a meal tasting and all the meals were excellent. Waiter Alvin is a real character. Estate is well presented and easy to find. Look forward to checking in again.

My second visit to natskin in the Yarra Valley and the experience was of such high standard. Extremely happy with service and massage, I left feeling rejuvenated.

Such a brilliant place! Lovely wine, friendly and informative staff who took the time to explain everything about the wine including the best circumstances and conditions to enjoy it. Thoroughly enjoyable experience, I will definitely go back!

Ate lunch at Rae's restaurant. Had the $49 for two courses, had main and dessert. Excellent food wine and service. Treat yourself.

We have stayed here twice and have enjoyed both occasions the package with dinner in the restaurant was great value. Restaurant menu very good with very friendly staff. We are looking forward to another visit in the future

We held our mid year 3 day conference at this venue and it was lovely. We had to accommodate 60+ staff and everyone was very pleased with their room, pleased with the food (including those with dietary requirements), the service we received from our event manager was always good, and the views are amazing.

Not bad but could be better. Stingy on the towels, and bathrooms are dated. Couch is not comfortable and there weren't many coffee pods left, nor were they restocked overnight.

Sadly disappointed - the aircon in the room would blast cold air and then get too hot, and would not be constant at the temp set.
Room service was very disappointing - the food that came was definitely not from Rae's - food tasted and looked like a dodgy late night takeaway place.

Lovely place.we stayed two nights in one of the bigger rooms with sofa bed for kids. Breakfast spread was decent serving the usual like baked beans, bacon, hash, eggs, etc. Coffee was from Nespresso machines. We loved the giant chessboard out the back and the indoor heated pool n sauna. One note - do check your bill carefully as they made a mistake on ours.

Did a wine tasting with families. Received an exceptional service from Karen. She’s very friendly and helpful. Definitely will keep ordering wines just because the service we received.

Lovely rooms with incredible views and great facilities. The food was delicious and the staff extremely helpful.

Beautiful estate in the middle of vineyard. Nice food in the restaurant as well, we had dinner during our stay there and it's a lovely experience.

Attended a weding reception here. Amazing views. Food was magnificent. A wonderful ambiance for formal functions.

Well apointed and very welcoming. Not to mention the 1st class views as the sun rises and wipes away the thick layer of fog that the valley is beset by. Worth your visit.
