A really lovely cafe with really good pastries. The staff are always so cheerful and pleasant to speak with, and the food is always so good. Personally, I prefer their Almond and Yuzu croissant over the one at Lune.

The downside is that they sell out so quickly on a Sunday and the only way to get your pastries is to pre-book the night before. (I'm happy for them though for doing so well).

Other than that, this is really a little hidden gem that should receive more attention than it already has.

Lovely staff and cute shop located in an alleyway. We preordered some pastries to pick up and the process was very smooth and quick. The ham and cheese croissant was our favourite. Regarding the strawberry, it might just be because we preordered and the pastries were sitting out for a while but it wasn’t as flaky as I had expected. The honey sea salt sesame one was a unique flavour, quite salty and sweet too. We were able to get drinks and sit inside Little Rogue across the street to enjoy our pastries.

Oh my god! The pastries are perfect. Crispy on the outside and perfectly soft and airy on the inside. The honey, salt and sesame scroll is a must. Almond and yuzu croissant was also very good - not super sweet and actually lighter than it looked!

Very good pastries prepared in a tiny space looking more like a garage than a cake shop). Even though coffee is also served, everything is for takeaway as there's no room for sitting down.
Other than that, everything else is top notch

Love this hidden gem Japanese bakery! They always very busy and has long queue, the croissants were delicious, buttery and so flaky

What we had:
- Plain croissant (great)
- Chocolate croissant (love it!)
- Cheese croissant (delicious)
- Earl grey cannelle (crunchy on the outside, chewy and so fragrant)
- Matcha cannelle (pretty good)

I highly recommend everyone to try

I like the ham & cheese croissant, good flavour. Need to get there early, was there at around 11 am on a Sunday and pretty much everything was sold out with only 3 items on the menu available. Just a note, there's a weekend surcharge.

Miminalist simple store with amazing staff that seem to care about the place, producing quality pastries turning a little forgotten lane way full of garages and warehouses into a place where people catch up, colleagues chill, lovers meet, sit on the kurb, listen to music whilst enjoying the pastries and coffee. It's more than just a coffee pastry.

Great coffee and pastries! The wait wasn’t too long even though there were a lot of people there

Loved their croffles and their other unusual pastry offerings, but their croissants are pretty average; Lune’s/Agathe’s/Cobb Lane’s are still better. Such a lovely Japanese-themed place, it’s unfortunate that’s it’s a takeaway only bakery.

Staff are extremely efficient, so although there's a queue it's very fast moving. They are also very helpful.
Zero complains about the pastry, would definitely return to try more

Got the Honey, sesame, and seasalt roll (?) IT’S DELICIOUS! The glaze of honey, pungent savouriness and black sesames and the subtle touch of saltiness is a harmonious combination! The pastry itself is flaky and buttery, the stretch when I pull it apart is

Definitely coming back to try out the croffle as it was not available in the early morning (8: 30am ish)

Nice pastry. Need to not get there too early thou as some stuff not ready yet, so I missed out on the melon pan. Service is good, small little bakery. Just don't stand outside too long as the lane way is full of bins.

Even though I didn’t try any of the baked goods, I found the simple flat white I ordered to be pretty good. The coffee cups have a cool logo that looks like deathly hallows from HP! Drewery lane /place area is nice and shaded and a good nice spot to post up while sipping on the coffee.

Love their “pan (bread) ”! Melon pan is authentic the bakery is absolutely bakemono! I miss Japanese pans and it would be great if there are more varieties. They serve quality coffee as well.

A hidden gem. My chiropractor suggested I visited here to taste their goodies! My God everything here was delicious. The queue was long but we didn’t mind

Discovered from fellow blogger review and was pleasantly surprised (after we bought a whole heap of Lune croissants). Place is harder to find if it wasn’t for a line we spotted on the side alley of little Lonsdale St, it’s not on main st.
Bakery is small so expect a slight wait if you want to sit down. We got there around 8.30 and wasn’t much wait despite being busy. Some goods were not ready yet but we mainly wanted to try the yuzu pastry which I highly recommend. We bought a plain croissant just too compare with Lune and despite not being as crisp and leavened, they are not far behind. $4.80 compared to $6.20 at Lune & slightly larger in size. Service was very friendly. Will def come back to try others.
