Always had a good experience at Bailey Nelson. Quick turnaround on new frames and lenses. Staff don’t do the hard sell on upgrades like certain other optometrists. Good quality frames and decent price. One of my frames is from 2014, still going strong.
Bought a couple of pairs of specs and had a problem with one of them. BN went above and beyond the course of duty and replaced with a whole new set!
I was really pleased with the range of specs. Quite a few i hadn't seen multiple times over at other specs outlets so that was great.
An efficient and courteous team.
I shall return.

Decided to give this place a shot this year for a new style rather than my usual OW. Never again! TERRIBLE after-sales service, and a painfully average in-store experience.
I am absolutely appalled by after-sales service. Waited for over their promised 10 day turn around time (12th day now) and NEVER got a second text for my other pair of glasses I purchased. After completing my purchases, I was advised to wait for the second text by the store clerk for maximum efficiency so I tried to be patient but clearly I was left out to dry.
Just got off the phone with a customer service rep about the issue at hand and they claimed two texts were sent to me on the same day (One at ~1pm and one at ~3pm). Evidently, checking my text records, no such thing as described occurred on my side - so whatever system they use is horrifically faulty or the rep was straight up lying to me to cover their weeks-long mistake. Their tone also seemed very bland, not apologetic for their broken promise and a 'tough-luck' attitude. I couldn't believe they actually treated customers like that. 0 stars for after-sales.
In-store the clerks were alright but definitely on the slower side. But when they eventually got around to me - they did try their best to be helpful. The 2 star average is for them, they did what was expected of them and after the ridiculous after-sales affair, I can appreciate that far more.
Either way, not happy at all with the service and definitely won't be coming back here again!
The service by the front staff and the range of glasses were great. However, the interaction I had with the optometrist for this particular clinic was not great- zero friendly interaction and clear display of lack of care for the clients (honestly felt like she was reading off a tick list). She barely explained the outcome of the test so I had to ask to get specific details. It felt like she just wanted to toss me out of the room and be done with the day. I've never have I had an interaction with an optometrist like this. Sure, she got her job done - got my eyes checked. But it's definitely not a service I can recommend to others.
Lovely glasses and great customer service. Highly professional and experienced opthamologist with advanced eye screening tests available. Glasses were made just right for clear vision.
The store is good, have a range of stylish glasses. The problem in this particular store is their customer service. Been to central BN a few time and have mixed vibe. I have also been to other BN but didn't feel the unfriendliness I felt here in central. There is a tall guy who is so condescending. Not appreciate the way he talked to me. There are other friendly staff, it really depends on who's on shift.
I like it. But maybe i forget to bring back my prescription. However, new glasses make my life easier
The first time I stepped foot into Bailey Nelson, I felt very warm and welcomed by the staff and the surroundings. I've always been one to just go to Specsavers or OPSM, but a friend suggested BN and I'll never go back to the franchise shops. The staff are great, the glasses are great (ethical and stylish) and affordable.
My lenses are custom and my new specs only took a week. The staff even let me pay a couple days after ordering as I was financially effed and they're understanding down to earth legends!
The staff at this branch are l tremendously helpful and friendly. They also worked excellently as a team to make sure every customer was attended do, but don’t worry! They also knew when to leave me be just to have a browse and try on some frames. I’m a life long glasses-wearer and this was my best experience buying glasses!
Went in to try on glasses for a laugh and found some I really loved! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I had my new glasses within a week as promised! I’m very happy and have received so many compliments on my new specs:)
Amazing customer service! Every time I go I come out feeling very satisfied with my experience. Everyone that works there are lovely, so welcoming and very helpful!
Um I am an existing customer. Went to have a look with my wife today and there were 4 staff standing around talking amongst themselves. Had to wait 2 minutes to get someone’s attention. No greeting before that. Had to stare in their general direction before I could get help to have my specs tightened. Staff wiped it down and left smear marks. Didn’t ask for a redo because she didn’t seem too keen to provide aftersales service.
Sunnies not dispatched, error made. Won’t refund as it’s a ‘sale item’. Fair enough you may not want to refund, but without the product even leaving your Warehouse it doesn’t exactly promote a returning customer

Contacted Bailey Nelson after damaging the arm of my sunglasses and Nathan was very helpful in replacing the damaged arm for another. Took his time to ensure I was happy with the fitment. 10/10 service.
Been going to OPSM for years, thought I’d try something new and cheaper. Man what a terrible, terrible customer service experience & an absolute waste of time. I ordered my glasses at Melbourne central and the lady who submitted my order put the pick up location as Fitzroy. THEN! I make my way to Fitzroy and my lenses are wayyy too strong (was like looking through a magnifine glass). The core problem is it seems the sales assistants aren’t adequately trained to be using their system and cannot read prescriptions! (As I brought mine in from my optometrist). Such a dissapointment. Guess you can only expect so much when they try to cut prices.
