My absolute favourite place to have brekkie or spend time with family and friends.
The food is amazing! Always fresh and the team make you feel welcome

Food was good but we waited for almost an hour, I'm pretty sure they forgot our order and then when I asked for salt, 5 minutes later I had to go and ask for it again. It's a shame.

Beautiful old building that housed a great little gem of a Cafe restaurant called Baby Black. We had the Big boy and Eggs from the menu. It was filling and totally delicious. See pictures.

I love this Cafe as it is a dog friendly Cafe, where your poochis allowed to sit with you from outdoor dining.

The staff are friendly and very good, they explained e everything to us. Such as delays in meals and beverages.

I had a soy Latte and normally there I'd a little bitterness from the soy in the coffee. But not baby black's, as it was perfect.

Also if you just want a coffee, there is a little caravan set up next door for coffees only. That is pretty awesome.
If you are ever in or pass through Bacchus Marsh then I do highly recommend you drop in and see how f good this place is for yourself.

After ordering coffees they decided to tell us if we want food it’s an hour wait but didn’t bother to say it before we sat down? Complete waste of my time. For this reason I won’t be back here.

Great place for a break, coffee or a meal. Lots of decoration, quite warm, lots of space too. Although it was full of people, it wasn't noisy.
The staff were friendly and prompt.

Quirky cafe with lots of character. Gets super busy during peak hours - but a fair trade off as food and ambience is worth it. Service staff are friendly as well, despite the busy-ness.

I am finicky with my coffee quality so I go here because it is consistently good. This little gem of a cafe offers options for takeaway or dine in the converted heritage house. It is super quaint and quirky here. The unisex toilet is attached to one of the front rooms. There is a garden courtyard area out the back where they host live music events in the warmer months and host them inside the main area in the colder months. The menu is delicious and always spot-on with all day breakfast type fare and the staff work hard as a team to make it all work so well. Pets are welcome in the outside dining areas.

Best cafe in town by far. Coffee is second to none. Cakes are amazing. Breakfast is delicious. Decor based on the owners live music history. Overall fantastic place, just go and find out for yourself. You won't regret it.

Popular place. Got a seat in back yard on shared table and told a 30mins wait on kitchen, which we didn't mind. Coffee was good. Later relocated to smaller table to permit a group in. Big breakfast each hit the spot. Only remark is I found the hash brown a bit oily but Mr gobbled what I left. The cakes on display were very tempting!

This cafe is like the cafes I used to love in inner Melbourne 15-20 years ago that have all disappeared. The brekkie I had was exactly what I want out of a big breakfast and the coffee was good. The music in the background was well chosen and I liked the vintage furniture. The staff seemed very friendly. Don’t ever change.

The coffee is always good and the food is delicious. Lots of vegan options too, which makes me happy. Not many places in the marsh cater for us veggies!

We had a great lunch & hot drinks, it was very tasty & the drinks (hot Chocolate & coffee) were spot on. All at a very reasonable price. Just the thing, wiil do it again soon!

A little expensive but you get what you pay for, the coffee is really great.and consistently great, it's often pretty crowded but that's because it's really good.

Great little cafe with a cosy courtyard out the back. The wait staff were lovely, and the food and coffee were excellent.

The food and setting are great. Definite go-to spot for brunch.

The only issue - and the reason for 3 stars - is the service. It's incredibly slow - once waited 30 minutes for a takeaway coffee. It surprises me that it is so slow because they always seem to have a lot of staff.

It is a busy cafe, but even the busiest in the city don't make you wait that long.

Leads me to think there could be processes in need of improving. Now going to another cafe down the road for the quick in/out coffee.

Tried out the Baby Black Espresso bar, and the breakfast was sumptuous, especially the Big baby brekky. But felt the coffee was pretty average, nothing great about the coffee, thus the 4 stars. Overall, loved the brunch at this small & cute cafe which had great atmosphere.

Best place to have brekkie or lunch in town. Coffee is even better. Staff are all very friendly will not disappoint. Scones are to die for Yummy!

So much love goes into this place by all involved. Melbourne quality food and coffee with the small town friendly service. Loved by locals and people who regularly travel long distance to enjoy baby black.
