I have been taking Ayurveda treatment for my endometriosis issue since June 2020 and it's been an incredible journey with dr.jyothi. I have had two laparoscopic surgery to remove my previous ovarian endometriosis related cysts. When I was diagnosed with the third reoccurance cyst I was totally devastated to undergo all the medicines and surgical treatments again. I started to see Jyothi a few months ago at the Malvern clinic due to severe sinusitis and hay fever at the point life had become impossible for YEARS. I have been undergoing Ayurvedic treatment for my endometriosis and adenomyosis condition since Sept 2019. When I first met Jyothi, I had just completed an ultrasound scan of my pelvic area that confirmed these 2 conditions were active, apart from the symptoms I had been experiencing (which although were not debilitating) were impacting my quality of life and well being.

I had undergone surgery in 2016 for stage 3 endometriosis which had helped with getting rid of the growth around the uterus and surrounding organs. I had opted for naturopathic treatment after the surgery and had maintained it until early 2019, however due to financial constraints I had to discontinue (naturopathy in my experience is very expensive - I was paying around $600 a month for consultation and medication). While naturopathy had helped and had kept my condition under control, the treatment is expensive and also the amount of medication to be taken is a lot (popping 6 pills, 3 times a day, plus powders etc). I couldn't see it as a sustainable way to continue managing my condition.

Hence, I approached Jyothi, after having done some research and also having grown up (in India) hearing about Ayurvedic practice and its effectiveness in curing a variety of ailments. My mum has bought her Type 2 Diabetes well under control through ayurvedic medication. I was very keen to undergo treatment and see if it improved my conditions.

Post treatment with Jyothi, which is a holistic approach incorporating diet, yoga, medication and exercise my symptoms have improved significantly and a recent ultrasound scan done by a specialist in endometriosis was unable to detect any adhesions (tell tale signs of endometriosis) and was very impressed with the mobility of all my organs surrounding the uterus and the ovaries. When comparing the ultrasound report to last year, it was very clear that the issues detected had disappeared/ eradicated post the ayurvedic treatment. I was extremely happy with this result as it showed that the treatment was working at the root cause and not addressing symptoms only (which is what allopathic medications tend to do).

In addition, my experience with Jyothi is that she is extremely knowledgeable, qualified and experienced in not only the ayurvedic practice but also nutrition, diet, naturopathy and is well versed with the medical diagnosis for women's ailments. She takes time to understand the condition, diagnose it and prescribe medication and health plan customised to each patient. Very prompt and reliable in her support throughout the treatment and has a very pleasant personality that makes it easy to interact with her.

I look forward to continuing my treatment with Jyothi and have immense confidence in her guidance and support towards managing my condition and focusing on regaining my quality of life.
