Ayam Penyet Ria reviews
38Ordered the Ayam Geprek and Iga Bakar. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! This place is my new favourite. I will have to try everything on the menu
Would be nice to have the full order delivered: - (especially when one has to pay for the extras: - (
Love the authenticity of the Indonesian Foods️ My comfort foods, especially the ayam penyet and rawon?
Food is good. Sambal is a must! Only if you like spicy *it s very very spicy. Owner should add extra staff for this branch. I saw in all occassions i came to eat, they are struggling, running and eventually new customers, that walked in, walked out after 5mins waiting.
Ordered the ayam penyet as that is supposed to be their signature dish. The description in the menu was promising. We ordered two servings, and they came with different cuts of chicken. Both were, disappointingly, overcooked and dry. And as has been mentioned elsewhere, rice costs extra.
The Gado Gado flavours were alright.
The cendol was another disappointment. Barely any actual cendol. It was mostly a sweetened coconut milk drink. Again, nothing like the menu promised, and for $6.50, terrible.
If you are craving Indonesian food, this place is a must try. Tried several of their dishes, all of them were really delicious. Reminded me of the local cuisine at Bali. Smashed chicken is a must try.
The food here gives you a feeling of comfort with trademark Indonesian hospitality and feel goodness. Dishes are flavourful and amazing value for money in terms of portion size. The sambal is straight up fire, and not for the faint hearted, and I absolutely love that. Have had multiple dishes at their South Melbourne joint, and am very glad to know they have a Preston branch a stone's throw away from me, that is of the same consistent quality.
Made a call on an order to be replaced, they were so kind and friendly and apologised profusely which is not really their fault to begin with. I was expecting they would only replace it with one but gave me two meals instead! They sent it through within minutes and the food as always taste amazing! Thank you Pauline for the great service, generosity and great tasting food!
Order the food from menulog, most of the time my order either cancelled or not available. Today I order rawon and it arrived in very cold conditions. Also.it so pricy for a small container without rise. Very disappointed.
If you’re looking to satisfy your craving for authentic Indonesian food in Melbourne, this is the place to be!
Really tasty authentic meals (we had some tender sweet Iga Bakar and crunchy Batagor Bandung with peanut sauce), fairly price, clean premise and very friendly staff?
I ordered through ubereats and after waiting for an hour they cancelled my order because they didn't have one of the dishes I ordered!
Good cheap eat. They do not hold back on spice which is great. I had the tofu tempeh penyet, soto ayam soup only and rujak. Everything hit the spot. I was so happy there was jicama in the rujak because I hadn't eaten that for a while! Would happily go again.
Delicious ayam penyet and iga bakar (although the iga bakar includes a bit too much fat that from the other place I tried but the taste is still good)
Ordered from Doordash, the meal came on time and within reasonable time. It was still hot and tasty with generous portion. Chilli is good and potent as always. Packaging was delivered with care which is very much appreciated:)
Finally another branch in Melbourne! Food is always AMAZING! This is definitely one of the must-try restaurant in Melbourne
The most transcendent food experience I have had this year, everything, from the beef ribs, to the smashed duck, smashed prawns, Gado Gado and Balinese chicken, was unbelievable. Will return many, many more times. May God bless your hustle
Best Ayam Penyet i've tasted in Melbourne so far. The sambal is to die for, really spicy just the way i like it.
Lovely staff. Food was delicious. Authentically spicy so be cautious and ask if that’s not your thing.
Funny surprise with the robot delivery. I forget we live in the future
