Ayam Chef reviews
70Always such amazing food when we come back. It's probably one of our most favourite Malaysian restaurants in Melbourne. So many different dishes to try and they're always high quality and tasty.
The Thai fish was delicious and the banana fritter was delicious accompanied with some icecream which was also yummy. The food was as good as the food found in Malaysia.
Outstanding quality of food. Full of flavour and a wide variety of meals on the menu. The curries are to die for! Great friendly service rounds out the experience. A must visit!
This beautiful Malaysian restaurant is so close to my temporary accommodation and have lots of yummy foods. Staff are extremely helpful and will assist you to choose the best option from the menu. I’ve been there mid week and had a great experience. I definitely recommend to try this restaurant and support local businesses.
Thanks

Visit Ayam Chef! Period! That's the review.
Top-Notch Quality, Standard and Taste that is easy on the pocket is so rare these days and this place consistently excels in all these qualities. Nothing that we have ordered so far has been below excellent. Their portion sizes are big as well.
Stopped in for a quick midweek lunch. Garlic chicken was good although not particularly garlicky. Service was excellent.
Perfectly balanced flavours in the food, excellent service and friendly staff, with reasonable prices. What more could you want?
Had a great meal with drinks to match. I ordered the Banana fritters as dessert. Unfortunately too much batter around a small Banana.
Have tried every single dish here, loved them all. Superb quality, definitely one of the best Malaysian restaurants in Melbourne.
Very delicious meal. The chicken ribs with salted egg was exceptional!
They sold out of Hainanese Chicken Rice, which is clearly a testament to how good it is. Will be back for more!
Fantastic food and great service. Curry puffs delicious and the Szechuan Beef sizzling platter was nice and spicy, beef was so tender and a good selection of vegetables.
Good, neighborhood restaurant serving Malaysian-style dishes. The homemade tofu lunch set is a standout, the tofu is very soft and luscious. The barramundi is steamed just right. Service is friendly and prompt.
Love this place! Full of flavour yet still delicate and refined. Great selection of dishes. This will be my regular for sure!
Friendly staff. Clean and tidy venue.
Food was mediocre. Ordered the Char kuey teow and Nasi lemak curry chicken. Both lacking in flavour. Curry chicken was dry.
Left dissapointed. Won't be returning.
Nice Malaysian food from this place. Been here plenty of times and always happy with the food. When it's busy, can be pretty noisy.
Had an amazing dinner here the other night. Authentic in flavours and good serving size. Service was fast and the stir fried dish had a good wok flavour to it. The hainan chicken was silky and tender. Definitely becoming one of our locals.
Closest to a proper chicken curry I’ve had in Melbourne. Great Rotis. And a tasty Nasi Lemak. Great local restaurant.
This place is amazing, the food is so delicious and more importantly the staff are awesome, very kind and friendly. I would definitely recommend if you want a good food and good feel.
Authentic and tasty Malaysian cuisine. Service is quick and friendly. Fry bananas fritters was tasty with nice greetings on the dishes. Very good Lunch.
