I sent an online inquiry re automising an old pretty derelict manual swing gate. Ray replied promptly and arranged an on site visit. After meeting him, I didn’t look elsewhere. He was very professional, knowledgeable and suggested a solution immediately. I was very pleased with Ray’s ‘can do’ nature, even though the job did require gaining power from my adjoining property and concrete channeling. He made what I though would be difficult, a very easy decision for me. Phil installed the new automatic arms and associated hardware with one of the most ‘no fuss’ demeanours I have encountered. He was excellent. The result is an exceptionally quiet and smooth operation and a saving for me of having to stop my vehicle on the street to manually unlock. I found the price to be very good value for the convenience too. David then dropped off two extra remotes after I had requested them from Ray, within a day!
Excellent old fashioned service from a really decent, friendly, professional and knowledgeable company. Their product is outstanding. If only all trades acted in their manner!

Trying to secure a reliable and professional Tradie is extremely difficult nowadays. Particularly when the issue you need attended to is perhaps more unusual. I had the need for adjustments and maintenance to our driveway gates so I went back to Automatic Gates who I have used on the odd occasion previously and again they didn't let me down. Ray organised for Sam to attend within 48 hours of my request and whilst the problem was not straight forward Sam was meticulous in ensuring a complete fix and even addressed a couple of other issues I was not aware of. If you require any work on your driveway gates, I suggest you place Automatic Gates at the top of your list. John B

Ray and his team are professional, experienced and efficient. They are also great guys. They replaced the motors on my gates which were 20 years old and came out quickly when I explained that we had just gotten back from living overseas and were going through a number of stressful circumstances. I was even more impressed by their after sales service. We had a faulty battery which they replaced immediately and they also soldered a bolt that had worn on our gate. Thank you Ray.

Let's get straight to it - these guys are great. At every stage - quoting, manufacture, installation and aftersales this company has done everything right, with great no-delays communication to go with it.
We recently had installed two automatic sliding gates with security controllers and even an iPhone control. Everything works fine and we could not have asked for a better result.

Ray and his team at Automatic Gates did an outstanding job on our new driveway gates. Ray came out on Saturday to give us an idea on our options and measuring up. Ray's exacting measuring set the scene for success. Sam did an excellent job on the install. These are completely customer focused people who really wanted to deliver to our vision.
The unsung hero here is the team in the factory who brought these gates to life, fabricating the steel frame. The communication company wide meant that when we got the delivered products, they fit perfectly and matched exactly what Ray described as the best approach for our fence line, which follows the incline of our street. We couldn't be happier.

My heritage home in Hawthorn that was built in the late 1800's had a narrow driveway and original wrought iron gates what were hinged high in order to open back up a steep driveway. The meant my young children could easily crawl under the gates onto busy Glenferrie Road, not to mention that my car could only just squeeze through the narrow driveway.

I first needed to widen the driveway so I had a contractor demolish an existing brick pillar and part of my brick fence and rebuilt a new one to give me an extra 1/2 metre width.

This left me with the problem of needing new wider gates identical to the existing heritage ones and I also needed them lower to the ground so my children couldn't crawl under them however give the steep slope, this posed an engineering problem.

I called several gate companies but none of them gave me confidence until I met Ray from Automatic Gates which was an absolute gentleman and spent a lot of time with me looking at various solutions.

Ray and his team took my existing gates in order to satisfy my heritage permit and manufactured and installed a new set of magnificent automatic gates with upswinging hinges that solved all my problem.

We now have an intercom providing the safety and security my family required.

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Automatic Gates to anyone.
