Australian National Aviation Museum reviews
57Great experience today at Moorabbin Air Museum with son (8 yrs) and daughter (7 yrs). Stayed about 1.5 hrs, lots of old airplanes to sit in and lots of knobs to turn and switches to play with. Very well laid out and organised. Well recommended!
Absolutely fantastic little museum with some really incredible aviation displays including plenty of aircraft to sit in. The staff were all incredibly friendly and passionate and the admission price will not break the bank
Very nice museum!
Love how they made most of the planes, helicopteres, jets, etc accessible to walk into or sit in. I have never seen such vehicles up close so it was very interesting to inspect the cockpit and all the buttons!
There's also a flight simulator which was pretty cool.
There's a little gift shop where you enter, entry was just $10 per adult and theres toilets available too.
Thoroughly enjoyed my time here
Much better than expected. Guide excellent and staff at shop polite and helpful. Range of aircraft more than expected.
A must visit place for all ages. With several exhibits each one depicts a story of the yesteryear's, wartime and so much more. You can climb up and look them up from close.
Excellent displays of all aircraft type including defence aircraft. Informative notations on displays. Situated at Moorabbin Airport handy for metropolitan visitors and organised guided tours.
Take a step back in time! Family friendly, lots of information, awesome being able to get into the planes. We enjoyed this as a family very much and it wasn't expensive or too busy.
I'd not been here for years and I was impressed with work they have done here.
I was told that there are exciting expansion plans. I look forward to seeing them.
Very interactive museum. I expected your typical walls of information but it was much more rich in scope. Plenty of actual model aircraft you can sit in and play around with. From military planes to commercial planes. Decent section of things to check out. Very cheap entry too. Only $10. I'm not even a fan of aviation but still found an appreciation for all the things around me.
I was present here with my daughter on her friend's birthday. Its a nice place to visit and kids get excited about it but there is no mention of risk and safety here. There are a lot of sharp objects which can hurt your child severely.
My daughter hurt on her eyebrows at this place from the aeroplane wings, and i had to admit her in an emergency. There were 6 stitches. This happened in mid December'21.
The air museum representative didn't take this issue seriously and said this is our responsibility.
Parents, you must go to this place but keep a eye on your child.
Great morning with the kids. Lots of interactive displays. Been back many times and never disappointed.
Lots of Australian aviation history here. Child friendly if your kids like planes you can easily spend a couple of hours here. Some outdoor exhibitions so keep an eye on the weather
Great range of aviation history to look at. Lots of opportunities for kids to climb into planes.
Awsome tour
The cost to get inside the beufighter was well worth it.
Wish I could have stayed longer
Nice collection of historical planes. Fun for any age. Nice that they let you into some of the planes
Absolutely amazing day out, especially for small kids. They loved being able to get up close and see all the planes. Staff were super friendly. Couldn't ask for a better day out
A very good place for kids of all ages. An hour or two kids can busy exploring, riding and learning the history of some old planes. Some of these old planes were used in war, some were used as passenger planes. Kids can ride on most of these planes, the simulator one is the most exciting one!
It is very close to Moorabin DFO, so if any one is planning to visit, even they can plan some shopping together. Ticket price is affordable. Currently $20 for a full family. They have very friendly staffs. The souvenir shop has some attractions for the kids. Toilets are nice and clean.
I recommend this place for someone to visit soon.
Went on Friday just before lunch time with my four year old and we were there for close to three hours, he thought it was amazing. Great place I'm sure he will want to go back again
Ever wondered what happened to the aircraft your saw at Wobbie's world back in the 80's? We you can re-visit it here. Great peace to take you kids.
