We recently enrolled our son into the Seamist room at Aurora Doncaster. Great facility, the interior decor is filled with beautiful art and natural elements, such as indoor plants. Big shout out to the staff who are incredible, professional, patient and caring. They have made our sons transition into school wonderful. My son, husband and I couldn't be happier! Highly recommend!

Aurora Early Education Centre is the worst childcare centre in Melbourne. All the outwardly glamorous furnishings are fake, and in reality the staff treat the children differently and exceptionally poorly.

My child was treated extremely badly at this center, snot was stuck to his face without any care and he came home with stains all over his midsection! The child gave feedback that a staff member at the center named Chanel only took care of one white child and left the other children alone! This is amazingly infuriating! Would never recommend this center to anyone!

This is a great childcare and the educators and management are caring and supportive. The facilities are good and there are many activities planned throughout the year to create a fun and positive learning experience. My youngest is currently attending the centre and her older sister also previously attended Aurora. I would recommend this service to anyone in the area looking for a high quality childcare centre.

We joined the service about 2 years ago at the time all the staffs were very friendly and welcoming.

About midway through 2022 we felt the service have gone downhill especially in my child’s room (Moonbeam). There were constant changes of staff. The communication were very poor we don’t get inform when the educator goes away for a long holiday or we only get inform when the educator is leaving the service on their last few days.
With the high turnover of staff it felt like there were no structure in the room my child was in. Also we weren’t getting any highlights of what have happened throughout the day via the app, no photos or anything. Can only assume what they got up to from the dirty clothing they come home with (eg paint all over their clothes).

With the on going service like this and for the premium fee we pay. We finally decided it was time to move on.

After handing in our exit notice it made me felt it was a great decision. As the management were so poor, I had to psychically chase up with the centre manager a week later to make sure they received my notice because there wasn’t any form of reply to my email.

Moreover the service I experienced after handing in our exit notice was more horrific. I had to make multiple phone calls to enquire about my bond refund with empty promises each time that they will do it right away, so I sent emails regarding my enquires and once again no response.
But other families that left the service at the same time got phone calls/ emails reply regarding their bond enquires. And also got their bond back with no issues.
In addition the other families got offered meetings and even a reduced in fee after they handed in their exit notice whereas we never got any offer.

At last I’m very happy to say we are glad we made the decision to move, my child is very happy at our new centre. The experience and the variety of food offered there are great, as well as the fee is a lot more reasonable.

Pretty design, sweet talk and other marketing ploys is their way of distracting from most crucial factors: staff ratios and qualifications. Educators are consistently expected to utilise "under the roof ratio" on a daily basis with many children with challenging behaviours ~ special needs in every single room. Founders purposely use Across the Service ratio to over book rooms, which lead to inadequate supervision and incidents that go unreported. That's their way of cutting cost, no wonder the centre is planned for sale.
Chef is uneducated (just fake sweet talk again) and always takes shortcuts in order to get the job done. The menu reads so well while food is terrible. Always rude to other staff, still he remains in his position because he makes fancy dishes for upper management everyday.
Management just keeps pushing staff for more, to give more, to do more. No wonder people are exiting faster than they are joining. We are so overworked yet so underpaid. A toxic environment and undervalue working space can not be good to the children either. Lucky I walked out and never look back.
To new staff: Your duty of care is to report. This service needs to be shut down.
To investor: You have a complete picture

Aurora is an engaging, warm and responsive service, providing high quality care and education to the children. The educators are approachable and professional and always available to discuss anything about their programs and practices.

Truly beyond words. People who try and stand up, make complaints about the horrible management and refuse to go along with it, are the ones who cop the worst of the brunt. The new manager from Murarrie is the most arrogant, rude, lecherous who only promoted on favoritism. 2 5 stars reviews in 2 weeks with her name mentioned? Laughable.
PS Samira Gh Monfared is her friend

I’m new in Aurora Education in Doncaster east centre. I had very bad experience before and when I enrolled my child in this centre I found staff and centre wonderful, specially the manager, Elli. She is friendly, helpful and full of knowledge. Many thanks dear Elli. I highly recommend this centre for your little ones!

Fantastic early learning service, well-resourced with lovely educators who care about children and their development & wellbeing. The Aurora App provides real time notifications and communication with families is excellent. Would recommend to families who are looking for a high quality child care centre.

Heads up to all parents. I decided to write after seeing lots of 5reviews coming from their own staff and family members Kirby Crowley, Shreya Pilo, Shweta Pilo, Jennifer Cox, Jules Taylor, Rand Shakhshir, Michelle Batrouney etc how funny. My visiting tour was a HUGE disappointed! Such as mess! Only 2 staff in a space full of drooling babies crying, toys & water everywhere. Young staff kept starring at her iPad. Some changed kids nappy & called out others across the room. Clearly she didn’t realise we came in. Male staff talking badly to running child in Italian thinking that some Asian looking family couldn’t understand what he was saying how clever. Btw they not rated exceeding like advertised. Their only rated as MEETING the National Quality Standard thats quite low. Check childcare centres rating on Acecqa if you want to know more

Lovely staff and our baby absolutely loves it here. She started when she was 10 months old and, despite a couple of lock downs and a few stop starts, she settled in so quickly with the help of the Educators. She now gets excited whenever we tell her she’s going to daycare! The staff are so flexible and easy going, working to whatever nap times and food preferences suit you and your child. The staff work so hard to provide a safe and fun environment and we could not be more grateful. Thanks Aurora Doncaster.

Always understaffed plus I was frequently out of ratio with 5-6 babies to care for on my own.  Children move between rooms on a daily basis to maximise profit and minimise staffing requirements so children therefore unable to access a consistent program.  Many staff left as we were burnt out, feeling frustrated with lots of paper work and low salary.

Most of the teachers in those baby rooms are grumpy and pretend like they care about children by taking nice photos and writing daily highlights for parents but what happen behind it? Well daily conversations are full of drama: they ramble on about regular shortage of staff or a disabled staff is some sort of burden, some hijab lady constantly swears in staff room and so on. Students and casuals are bullied while old staff revel in the negative. Management are blinded only respond well to those kissing up to them.

Do not send your kid here unless your Chinese. Extra Mandarin class weekly, kids speak Chinese; of course staff speak Chinese to parents too, Only Chinese kids are taken care of, others left crying on floor. Super high turn over in staff

We have been with Aurora Doncaster for the last 9 months and it has been a great experience in every aspect. We have no issue with transitioning our son from different day care due to our move to the area.

Most importantly, throughout these challenging and difficult times, the team has been working very hard with constantly keeping the parents up to date and is always very responsive to queries and phone calls.

The team’s dedication in organising the Digital Learning Program (DLP) has been amazing. This has allowed my son to continue learning and engaging with the educators and other children. I couldn’t thank you enough the team for their great effort.

Thanks to all the team in Aurora. Keep up the great work!

My 2 year old son Ollie joined the Aurora family after being in care elsewhere since he was 10 months old. Since joining Aurora, I have seen his social skills and general happiness improve immensely.
The educators are so communicate with me and constantly update me with photos and experiences he is doing.
Their app tells me his sleep times, meal servings, menu, updates, nappy changes and more!
10/10 would recommend!

Highly recommend Aurora. The educators are so lovely and care for the kids so well.
The office is also so accommodating to all your requests for your child which is so helpful and supportive, especially during tough and unprecedented times. Thanks Charli, Jess, Kellie, Caitlin, Jen, Kaity, Carla, Jasmine, Ayah, Hanjie, MJ, Sonia, Ann and all the other educators at Aurora. They really are people that love what they do!
Also Lawrence’s food is a hit with my toddler.
Miss #2 can’t wait to start and join the Aurora family soon.
