The food here is tasty with a unique middle eastern touch. We enjoyed the avocado and Mediterranean plate. The portion size for the veggie Billie could be bigger.

The last time we came, they were pretty busy and we had to wait almost 40 mins for our food.

The parking on the street is easy. And being a local, would visit again on a day when they aren’t so busy.

Went there for some food, will we ordered our second cup of coffee.

No1. They didnt put the order through which made us wait.
No2. Ordered pour over, and they gave me a long black instead telling me that it was a pour over.
No3. Worse of all, when i went back and told them that it was the wrong coffee, they acted like it as all fine when they knew about giving me the wrong coffee. IF i wanted a Long black i would have ordered a long black, dont need a replacement.and not to mention the price difference.

Now, since i am writing about my dissatisfaction, dont get their cold drip cause its $6 for 2 small shots. WAY over priced.

Becareful when you order with these guys and double check your bill when you pay.

Went there for breakfast and the waitresses were all very attentive. I had the cauliflower pancake and that was super delicious. All the ingredients married up perfectly. Will definitely go back and try others.

My favourite breakfast place! Food is always amazing, never fails! Definitely make a booking if you come after 9am on a weekend.

Ordered a cheese and ham croissant when out with my mother-in-law today. For such an expensive place I was incredibly disappointed to find that the cheese inside was that horrible plastic cheese slices you really only get at Mcdonalds. Utterly disgusting. Had to scrape the whole inside out to eat the remaining croissant. Servers never checked in about food through the meal, and as soon as we'd finished our plates were lifted away and cleared up. I felt rushed and unsatisfied.

Overpriced and understaffed. Wouldn't recommend for anything but a takeaway coffee or smoothie.

Great value. Definitely a brunch venue as servings are healthy. This was the Mediterranean. I recommend the French Earl Grey tea. Sensational.

Aunt Billies cafe has been around for a few years and continues to be an excellent place for locals to meet up over robust coffee and great food. We were invited to try out some of their menu items.

We had:

Super bowl - this was one of the prettiest cafe dishes I have ever laid eyes on. It was chock full of good stuff - beetroot, edamame, watermelon, avocado and a whole host of other goodies. The dish was tasty enough but the side dressing elevated it a notch.

Chicken burger - this was huge! The beetroot brioche bun was something different. The 2 generous chicken pieces had a lovely crunchy coating. Even the beer battered fries were chunky. It was a very fulfilling meal.

The ice coffee and soy mocha were delicious. There were strong, bold coffee flavours and they were both not overly sweet.

Love your work, Aunt Billies!

I went to this place today for the first time on my visit to Melbourne. I highly recommend it.

Really nice place with great food and coffee. Reuben Sandwich and the beef brisket Benedict are both delicious. Friends got smoothie bowls and loved them

Been here a few times now and it’s great. The menu is big but not too big and there’s vegan, GF and veggie options. Coffees good too. Parking is easy

Busy spot, but I'd say definitely worth it as a Melbourne cafe experience. Quality food (breakfast board was terrific). Coffee was great. There were also many dogs around, unsure if that's common.

Food was good, had the French toast which was tasty and filling. Great coffee, but the service was a bit lacking. My empty plate sat on my table for about 10 min before I moved it to an adjacent empty table, where it sat until I left. I didn't order my usual 2nd coffee.

Ordered a chai latte, ended up with a cup full of cloves and more fragrance then A gypsies caravan! Customer service was worse then a wet towel, maybe due to today being Boxing Day, but no excuse to be so robotic and lifeless.
Picture of attached below of the 200g of spice they put in a 300ml cup! 1/10 would not recommend.

$5 PayPal to remove this review as to refund my cup of spice you served me.

One of the best brunch cafes in eastern suburbs. Nice range of menus including a number of non-typical dishes. Portion is slightly more generous compared to other brunch cafes with excellent taste. One of the best tasting coffees I have ever had in Melbourne. Only downside (upside?) Is that they seem to change the menus quite often and Breakfast Board (the dish we ordered and is made up of 3 small portion of other brunch menus) won't be available anymore. Please bring back the Breakfast Board. Happy to come back anytime soon!

Drinks are not value as it’s price and the staff turn off the A/C while the opening time. Don’t they know today is over 42 degree outside?

Great atmosphere with lovely guys serving in a very friendly manner. I’ve had the Mediterranean which was so yum and loved it, and all other friends loved their choices too.
They’ve had good quality coffees as well. Very busy at the time and the friendly staff make everything so effortless and prepare it for you to enjoy your time.
They’ve got an all-day breakfast and lunches menu, which gives you the comfort of going anytime and order whatever you like at any point in time in a day.
The only reason I gave 4 out of 5 was, I personally love places with some views or garden area for lazy Sunday brunches. (They located by the side of Surrey Rd, pretty busy as it’s close to the intersection)

Five of us came to Aunt Billies Cafe on a Tuesday morning for breakfast. The cafe itself was very busy and seems to be a very popular place for breakfast and lunch. After waiting for a decent amount of time, our order was taken. After another 20-30 or so minutes of waiting, our food arrived. I ordered the açai bowl. It was sweet and tasty, but nothing that surprised me. Thank you!:)

Delicious, rich and flavour full food. No boring basics. All the food has something new and exciting about it. Service is excellent and the servings sizes are generous without being overwhelming. The coffee was smooth and served nice and hot. I had the special Okinimiyaki pork belly, I hope that stays on the menu because it's breakfast perfection. Very cosy place with natural light and modern furnishing. Highly recommended.
