Aunt Billies Cafe reviews
62The best food, coffee and customer service in the Eastern Subs! I've tried almost everything on the breakfast menu and love it all. I particularly like the cauliflower pancakes! Keep up the great work guys.
Service was fast and efficient. Food arrived quickly. Beautiful presentation and flavours were a hit. Definitely a nice hidden meeting spot in Blackburn right next to the church. Seating area had a lot of small tables. Would recommend booking if you have a larger number. Take away coffee and cake available with a nicely mini selection. Would definitely come again. Well done!
Craig is such an awesome personality with brilliant customer service skills following best practices and valuing customers absolutely love the service!
He needs to be promoted 5

Most incredible food and service. Have been here dozens of times and always received 5 star customer service and consistently very good food! They are so accommodating to children and highchairs also. Really family friendly cafe.
Great coffee, always interesting fresh food, large portions.
Friendly staff and great outdoors as well as indoor dining.
Loved this place before covid. Our first visit post covid was so disappointing. The iced chocolate wasn't mixed or made well. The staff do not follow any covid protocol. Very disappointing.
One of the few places in the area that serves Pour Over Coffee. The food is on the expensive side but this is balanced by generous food portions. Recommended.
Coffee & food good. Service questionable. Which is really weird but I get family owned disgruntled vibes from some staff (like they didn’t choose to work there). Arrogant and unfriendly. To management/staff, I’d recommend politely informing customers that the shops closing soon, and also politely asking customers if they’re done with their food/drink - not just clearing unfinished drinks without saying a word because it’s near closing. Also, I’d advise being polite around payment - as we were just shoved an eftpos machine in front of us while still seated. Weird weird. But food amazing lol.
Knowing how popular this cafe is, picked a time in between peak hours.
Ordered a Lamb Shoulder dish.
Exquisite
Just amazing flavour, textures, presentation and service.
Many cafes will do a standard menu. This just blew my mind.
Now I understand the cliche “ pass my compliments to the Chef”.
Cant fault anything. Food is great, Coffee is awesome and the fact they know you on a first name basis and have your coffee in the making prior to walking up to the window. Keep it up guys!
You're most likely looking around as someone who is on their office lunch break, day off, or meeting up with a friend.
The café persona is pleasant yet active. The café area may look cramped but the seating is spaced juuusst enough for a personal chat. The dishes are your taste bud down to your stomachs delight, since the food is healthy and very well presented and flavour orientated.
So if you plan to visit here, well, you'll be visiting café near a busy street, so expect this café to be busy at busy times.
Food great, customer service is average, price is upper.
My husband ordered lunch to sustain me through study today. What can I say.wow! Sensationally delicious. So fresh, full of flavour and excellent brain food. Its going to be our number 1 choice for local quality meals.
These guys are always professional and make an excellent coffee. It is still lockdown, but they are there and working and a lot of customers appear to be attending.
I miss dining in here. For now I have resorted to takeaways after a walk at the Koonung trail. This was their chili scramble which I requested. Great service but always very busy on Sundays. Book ahead. Love their smoothies here too and their chai latte.
I'm torn - the coffee was good, food alright, fit out/atmosphere/ sunlight good.service to be frank was woeful - wasn't that busy, staff walked past multiple times, difficult to place order, wanted to order repeat coffees and difficult to attract attention, took a while to clear table.perhaps just a bad day (mid week ~10am)
It is a nice place to have brunch - the food and coffee are decent. Unfortunately, the services are lacking and this brings down the experience a fair bit more. Hence the 3 stars.
Emailed the team, asking to book a slot for a big group in coming weeks. No reply to the email, so we called up to follow up on the email. Was told to wait for a reply. Sent another kind follow up email and no reply. I totally understand that the cafe is extremely busy but I could managed to book another busy venue on the spot over the phone.
Had lunch with a friend at Aunt Billies today, and if I could give this cafe 10 out of five I would. Haha. Food is great, Fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. And the staff are wonderful: charming, friendly and very accommodating. All round very pleasant experience. Loved it.
Great food and service even when busy. Glad we booked table as full house. Enjoyed the lamb shoulder and beef rib benedict. Kid and family friendly too.
Delightful and courteous service with food cooked with the utmost attention to detail incredibly fresh cooked with mediterranean warmth.
Four stars for the coffee! Espresso is good but a double shot needed for coffee with milk. Food is not bad but no wow factor.
