Dinner was ok for a function.nicely presented and one bar tender for 60 people shows that they don't value the bar

Not hard to see why it is rated top in Wangaratta. Fabulous cocktails, super efficient staff. Good food. Highly recommended the cured salmon.

Part of the Quality Hotel, this restaurant was very conveniently located from the place we were staying.

Already very tired we chose to dine here. Honestly, menu was fancy, quality was fresh and the ambience is amazing but not the flavors compared to what was described. Don't get us wrong. For the price you pay and having dined at places that have served you an experience, this fine dinning restaurant lacks in providing that experience.

Food wasn't bad but not something that you would expect from a fine diner. We have had se.beyter food around this area from privately owned fine diners.

Hospitality was great though.

Everything is done in perfection.my second time here and have decent kids menu too.

Definitely one of the nicest restaurants I've ever been in. Up there with posh Melbourne/Hobart restaurants. Don't let the "hotel" stop you. Cocktails were amazing too, the lychee gimlet is a definite must.

Great atmosphere & cocktail list, however I'm interested in the audience's opinion on something. If a patron accidentally spills his Bar Snacks should they have to ware the cost or would the venue normally replace it?

We stayed in the Quality Hotel Wangaratta over the Easter break. Considering that the stay in the hotel surprised us pleasantly we thought of trying the in-house restaurant which looked very appealing. On the second day after our stay, we ventured into the Atrium Restaurant after a booking which was almost full for a place like Wangaratta and its reason is – good food. We had chicken dish with two side dishes – pumpkin and beans. They may be side dish for some but for us it was sufficient as mains. We had never tasted beans done in such a manner and being fresh bean from the region tasted very good. Chef having an artistic flair, the vegetarian side dishes had a very nice presentation which made even more tempting to eat. I feel that both the Hotel and the restaurant are hidden gen in the High Country of Victoria.

Both my wife and I were fortunate to share the official opening of The Gateway in the mid 80's. Its design, build and decor was far beyond its time. It has seen a number of improvements over the years. We are still regulars to its wonderful functions, accommodation and dining out.

Has a very relaxing ambiance to dine in with family and friends. My partner said he had the best kilpatrick oysters here so far. I love their cocktails and mains. I recommend this place if your passing by Wangaratta.

We visited The Atrium on our honeymoon in search of something special. We discovered an excellent dining and service experience. Staff were attentive without being overbearing, immaculately presented and the food was delicious. Would not hesitate to recommend. Thanks to Wendy, Adrian, Kathlyn and Trainee.:)

Compliments to the chef! The rhubarb compote on this pork sirloin fillet is to die for. A delicious salad with sweet and sour perfectly combined. Great service even on a busy night.

Spectacular! Was hoping to find a place that wasn't booked for a special honeymoon dinner and stumbled across this gem. They managed to squeeze us in and the service and food was impeccable. Absolutely brilliant!

Not only can adults enjoy a true fine dining experience but if you're a family your kids can join you as they have a good quality selection of reasonably priced kids meals. The staff are lovely and caring towards friendly kids.

Excellent food and service by friendly staff. Food was reasonably priced for this standard of dining. Our meals were all well presented and very enjoyable. Steak was cooked to perfection and oysters kilpatrick were loaded with bacon and really tasty. Conveniently located for an easy stroll from Hermitage Motel for a relaxed dining experience. Only downside was beer glasses were not the best for beer but acceptable

Lovely restaurant layout. Quite moody and dim lighting throughout made this modern room really stand out. Crisp white linen, fine large wine glasses and nice table positions. You weren't close to other tables and didn't have to listen to other conversations. Good selection of menu items and specials. So glad to find this city type dining in the country. Staff were well trained and didn't put a foot wrong. Love to return soon

Great food and atmosphere for a special occasion. Staff are friendly and efficient. And the food is devine.

Wonderful place for special occasions. Food is amazing and atmosphere is great. Our xmas party this year was especially fun, with a dinner dance. Many of our group hadn't danced for years and it was great to have all of us up and having a go, no matter how silly we looked. This is our 6th Christmas at the Gateway and its always a fantastic night. The service although great was a bit mixed up with one waitress bringing something to the table and because we were up dancing another one came and took it away. Would have been easier if each waitress or waiter had been designated specific tables.
