I liked the presentation and taste of Mantu and mix kebabs. Must try place for a Non-vegetarian person. My wife is vegetarian and she had some taste mismatch with Afghan's vegetarian food. Servers are really welcoming too. So overall a good place to dine out.

Such an amazing hidden gem.

A delightful place to have Afghan and Middle Eastern food.

The ambience is pretty good, has parking available in front of the store and there is a parking lot available that is close by.

The food was incredible. Very well cooked and was brilliantly spiced. The chicken and lamb kebabs were cooked so well that they were melting in the mouth.

We had Mantu, the dumpling were nicely cooked and the daal has a nice mild spiced taste to it. From the entrees we also tried the AFC (Afghan fried chicken) and it was delicious. This dish is amazing. If you visit this place please try it.

For the main course, we had the chicken biryani pallow which was amazing. The chicken was well cooked and the rice was hot and spicy. We also had the mixer kebab skewers platter and that was the highlight of our lunch. I have never had such perfectly cooked kebabs in Melbourne before.

This place is surely a must visit for people who like middle eastern and Afghan food.

I have ordered Kabuli polow and my wife had mix kebabs.
Portions were so generous, all kebabs were delicious, but the lamb shank from kabuli polow was under flavour and it had the lamb smell (it was quite a lot tbh).

Having food from here is like getting a warm hug from an old friend. I will definitely recommend trying the chicken Korma and their Chicken tikka kebab. Very friendly staff, this is definitely on my regular visit list:)

The food was pretty good, price and quantity was very reasonable.

Serving size was generous. The food was incredible. Very well cooked and was brilliantly spiced. The lamb kebabs was cooked so well.

Also, Their lamb shank was so soft, their chicken kebab was very juicy. The best dumplings I have ever tasted.it has parking available in front of the store.

We ordered from Ashy's Afghan for a Father's Day lunch and had a delicous banquet to share plus a free ice-cream for dessert. The food was so tasty, the meats tender, the herbs and spices so balanced and the rice soft and fragrant. We will definately order again soon. Staff very friendly and responsive.

Delicious food. Lamb shanks melt in your mouth. Mantu's (Lamb dumpling) devoured by my 13 yr old boy. Chicken Briyani but spicy but yummy. Will be having this again!

We ordered the lamb tika, Mantu and sambosa for lunch. The food was delicious and flavours were balanced and perfect. One of best restaurants that serves Afghan cuisine in Melbourne and we have tried most. This is a perfect representation of the flavours of the region for anyone wanting to try. Cant wait to be back here again.

The food was absolutely yummy, scrumptious and delicious. Staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely go again. The eggplant dish is different, dumplings and billani just devine. If you are looking for something different just go.
Thanks again

My father and I come here regularly after the gym/pool for some tasty mantu and chicken kabuli pallow - it always hits the spot and the staff are lovely. Make sure you top it off with a big chunk of Turkish delight from the counter.

Opportunistically passed by and thought we’d stop off here and glad we did - What a delight! A beautiful, not crowded place with some nice afghan themed art and trinkets.

Service - The young lady greeted us with a huge smile and made us feel welcome and looked after throughout the entire dining experience.

Food - We had the mantu (a beautiful combination of flavours), the kids had the chicken kebab with rice and chips and we shared the mixed skewers with bread and dips. Everything about this was fantastic and definitely worth your while in stopping to try for lunch or dinner.

Thanks again to the waitress as she did wonderfully!

Wonderful. Everything is good, but the mantu is something special. Chicken biryani is quite spicy, but worth it for the flavour. Eggplant and bread is a favourite of mine.

Good was great! Fresh ingredients, delicious flavours. By no means am I an expert on Afghani food but this seemed like the real deal, rather than Anglicised dishes.

We read some really great reviews about Ashy's so we just happened by for a later supper. We were very surprised by the venue as we expected it to be a small place. Instead, we walked in to a spacious place where the decor was simple but tasteful.
The big surprise was the food. The menu was not large, thank goodness, but still enough to choose from. The aromas already made us wanting. But when the food came out, we were blown away by the exquisite tastes of the combination meat kebab and the chickpea and chicken korma. We enjoy Indian, Sri Lankan and Pakistani quisines. But Afghani has to to be one of the more subtle. Ashy's did not disappoint us. Food was exquisite, service was impeccable and the venue was clean right down to the toilet. We will be back!
