Arts Centre Melbourne reviews
41Centre of the universe for the performing arts in Victoria and, date I say, the entirety of Australia!
I am from Brisbane and had my times mixed up for my tour because of daylight savings. I asked if it was possible for me to go on a later tour instead because I was not able to attend but the answer was just 'no, but you can pay again to go tour' when I didn't even get to go to the initial tour! No empathy from the lady on the phone. Your welcome for my donation.
Always a night out at the Arts Centre. It is easy to get to on public transport. I particularly enjoy the ballet. No matter where your seat is you always have a good view of the stage
Always great to see live performances here.
The seating is very good and you are easily able to see the stage. Plenty of room
Beautiful night out at the theatre. Love the parking comfortable seating and the whole live theatre experience
I spent two days here at a small conference. Beautiful space and friendly staff. Worth checking ouy the free Australian music exhibit as well
A world-class complex of live-theatre venues of all styles and sizes; offering top international shows at standard prices.
Wonderful performence by the mso.got $30 bargain ticket through tixatsix.make sure to get to the box office early, probably before 5.as tickets for good shows are quite limited.
Overpriced drinks. They want $13 for a home drink worth $0.75 from Dan's (equivalent). Ok to pay for staff $6 is acceptable their $7 theft is NOT ACCEPTABLE. Boycott all drinks there.
Box H.great service and consideration shown to wheelchair bound patron. The Art Centre is amazing.from car park, the bars, the signage.everything is easy to follow and access. We will be back again
Very convenient parking, good food, central location - a short walk to the Galleries, parks and cafes.
A great location and so much to see! The staff are friendly and helpful with access for all abilities.
Visited the Australian music Hall of fame exhibit.
Free entry and regularly updated. Highly recommended and informative
Went to free Magicians at work held at the Channel at the Arts Centre Melbourne. Lovely intimate venue. The acts were all fantastic. Had a great time.
Great cultural site with a huge program of danse, theatre, concerts, workshops. You can buy tickets on line.
Excellent venue. Signage and access great, staff were very helpful when needed. Collecting tickets at the box office the line looked long but moved very quickly. Performance by the MSO was amazing!
A superior performance of Julius Caesar by the Bell Shakespeare Company in the Playhouse. We had second front row seats which were superb. The staging was non-traditional but imaginative and worked well.
Enjoyed our evening out seeing 'An ideal Husband'. The cast were entertaining and convincing and their timing and facial expressions made the show a delight. Easy access by car or public transport. Snacks available before show and intermission but really appreciated free water on tap.
Always a great experience seeing a show here! I recommend getting dinner at Southgate or in the edges of the CBD before coming, as the lines for the bar and cafes can be lengthy.
I saw a show at the Hamer Hall. It was spectacular, of course. The seats in the Hamer Hall are designed such that they have the same accoustic resonance whether or not someone is sitting in them. It's an amazing atmosphere, you can hear every word the actors say! I was sitting in the front half of the Stalls, which I would recommend, as you are close enough that you can clearly see the facial expressions of the actors on stage. Definitely recommend seeing something at the Hamer Hall!
