Artea - Art School & Party Venue

Booked a sculpt and sip through class Bento and had so much fun. Our teachers were so encouraging and enthusiastic, they walked us through the process seemlessly. Bar has a well priced menu, I wouldn't recommend driving as you'd be at a loss not to experience it all

I had my Hen’s party here recently and Helen and the team were absolutely fantastic! They were incredibly accomodating, lovely and made the day so special by creating a painting of me for my friends to paint! It was so much fun and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to support the event. The team are incredibly friendly and a pleasure to work with.

The warehouse space is also incredibly lovely in South Melbourne. Thanks so much again for helping me create such a wonderful day!

Artea is fabulous- from school holiday programmes to parties. Helen is a fantastic teacher and the children learn so much and have such a great time. My daughter never wants to come home!

Helen organised my son’s 8th birthday party, and it was a huge success. The activities were fantastic and everyone had a great time. Helen and her team took care of everything so the parents could relax while the kids partied on. The day after I heard from a lot of parents about how impressed they were, indeed one referred to the event as ‘epic’. Highly recommend

We were finally able to have my daughters 5th birthday party after the lockdowns and it was worth the wait! Helen was great with the kids, they had such a great time with some art and party games. The venue was great, lovely decorations and the tables for kids and parents were set up beautifully. Kids and parents all thought it was great, highly recommend Artea for a kids party!

Absolutely love Helen and everything she does. I did drawing classes with her that were so much fun! Heaps of my friends have had their kids parties at Artea, I love how unique it is with SO much thought and attention put into everything:)

I absolutely love this place! The food was good, the art teacher was very nice and funny. The class very informative and fun. All in all it was fantastic!

We had our daughter's 6th birthday party here. It was wonderful. Kids enjoyed doing arts/crafts, playing a game and dancing. Helen was a great host. Highly recommended!

My daughter had her 8th birthday party here. I found Helen and her team very organised, professional and they are fantastic with kids! Helen took the time to explain how the party works, she took care of everything while I managed to take photos and even be in the photos. We did the clay party which included food, the art activity, a disco and pass the parcel. We were so impressed with the party that I enrol my daughter in art based activities at Artea during the school holidays. I definitely recommend Artea for kids parties and their art classes.

I’ve had the pleasure of attending Teacher Helen’s classes now on multiple occasions.
The two hours spent while in class literally flew by and before you know it you have a masterpiece sitting there right in front of you. Even I have surprised myself what I was capable of creating. It wasn’t all bad!
ATT: I have not taken a painting or clay class in many years so I was worried but there was no need as I was shown the basics that were simple yet effective at each section.
Teacher Helen is outrageously motivated and positive. Thanks for having me. I’ll be back!

We had a hen's here and Helen was really accomodating, coming up with activities specifically for our session, and provided some light refreshments as well as a photo canvas for the bride. It was really worth it and great personal service. Thanks!

We held my sons 5th birthday party at Artea today and everyone had an absolute ball! Helen was amazing at keeping the kids busy and entertained the whole time. They did arts and craft, made slime, did science experiments then finished off with pass the parcel, musical statues and limbo. The kids left saying it was the best party I highly recommend this venue!

Fantastic place! I wanted a fun and relaxed activity for my sisters hens party. Helen did an amazing job helping me decide on an activity and plan for the afternoon - we ended up all making birds from clay with some fabulous sequin and feather add ons.
There was a photo booth set up which was a great source of entertainment and memories.

Helen hosted our child's third birthday party at Artea and it was a hit! So well coordinated and the theme looked a treat. All the kids were happy and it was just the right flow to keep them engaged, and amazingly the parents had more than 5 seconds to talk to each other! Everyone commented on what a great space it was. Helen runs a lovely holiday program. I’ve been so impressed with the art work my son brings home - decorated skateboards, Monet impressionist paintings, masks. Lots of great ideas and fun. My usually quite sporty son loves coming to Artea.

My two children do after school care at the Elwood Primary and are loving it, the skills they are acquiring and gaining insight to Art is priceless. They also do occasional school holiday programme and we see a benefit in their emotional expression through art. Thank you Helen.

As an architect, and with an artist as a wife, we highly value the art education that our son gets at Artea. He has been attending weekly lessons and the holiday program for three years. He learns all mediums of art and most importantly has an awesome fun time!
