Arrow Health reviews
35 I cannot express enough how grateful I am for my experience at Arrow Health rehab facility. From the moment I stepped in, I was taken aback by the beauty of the big old residence that became my home during my stay. I felt welcomed and comfortable from the day I got there.
The majority of the food at Arrow was outstanding, with plenty of warm and homely meals. This really enhanced my time there and made it enjoyable, especially since I have a strong preference for healthy food.
The staff at Arrow Health deserves all the praise. Not only did they genuinely care about my well-being, but many of them had been through similar struggles themselves, which made their support and understanding real and truly remarkable.
The care and support didn't end after my 90-day program. The aftercare and ongoing assistance have been nothing short of mind-blowing, not just for me but for my family as well. Their dedication to helping me beyond the program completion is something I'll always be grateful for.
If anyone is considering seeking help at Arrow Health, my advice is to go for the 90-day program and fully engage in exploring personal growth. It gives you the best possible chance to make a lasting positive change in your life.
Thank you, Arrow Health, for giving me the tools and support I needed to start a new chapter in my life. I highly recommend this rehab facility to anyone in need.
Toby, Rebecca, Mazzie, Josh, Terrie & the whole team at Arrow Health are amazing people. What a great facility with people that actually care about their residents!
I originally booked in for a 30 days stay at Arrow, after a terrible detox (made so much easier by the amazing staff) I started learning so much about myself, my behaviour and what I needed to do to get out of my dark hole, I decided to stay for the full 90 days. The staff were the most supportive of any rehab I’ve been to, the place is so cosy and peaceful and the programme opened my eyes to so much! I’ve been clean for 18 months and am now looking at getting back into work. Thankyou arrow you changed my life
I came here 5 yrs ago. It was the best place to detox and rehab. Amazing staff and the people that I did rehab with were amazing. Highly recommend. Thanku
Great centre, with great staff.
Extremely helpful, willing to go above an beyond.
Recovery was never meant to be easy, however, with the right guidance anything is possible.
Thanks for all your help.
Saved my life, looked after me throughout my detox and kept me going. Once I turned the corner I've never felt better. Can't thank the team enough
Very nice accommodation, i sleep every night very comfortable. It is safe for me to smoke some joints and sniff some of dat
Was there 3 years ago definitely helped me a great deal and am still clean.
But there was no call back or email to see how I was going or whether I stayed clean how would they even know their statistics. Ridiculous
Several months ago I gave a largely, negative review. Following that review I was contacted by an Arrow Health staff member speaking on behalf of Toby Lawrence.
In my review I insinuated that Penny and Toby Lawrence, although starting Arrow with honourable intentions, had become more interested in the fiscal rewards of the business than in helping the recovery of addicts.
That Arrow reached out to me, disproves this opinion and I retract and wholly regret making it.
I have raised my rating from 2 to 3 stars. The reason I didn’t raise it higher is that despite Arrow’s good intentions, my experience, particularly the second 30 days, was unsatisfactory. The reason I raised it at all, was not because of a single 20 minute conversation, but because that conversation led to my questioning myself as to what level of culpability I should hold
All addictions are the same. Addicts however come in all shapes and sizes. The main problem with the rehab model is that fact.
There has to be individual care. Until recently I blamed Arrow for not providing enough of it. But how could I have helped myself? Quite simply by speaking up. At a private facility, you are not only patient, you are also client.
I would advise any who attend Arrow, that in addition to embracing the group and one on one programs, they seek out more individually tailored treatments. Regularly speak with the facilitators, updating them on your needs. Make them understand what is and isn’t applicable to you, the life you’ve lived, and the experiences that life has provided. It won’t necessarily change anything, but at least you won’t be having the discussion months after leaving.
No rehab program is going to be perfect; but in seeking out a dialogue with me, I truly believe Arrow Health is trying to be the best they can be.
If I had the opportunity I would most definitely return to Arrow, and as such recommend Arrow to anyone seeking a residential rehab program
Addiction truly is cunning, baffling and powerful and so I returned to Arrow for a second time at the end of last year because my life was in complete free fall due to alcoholism. This time I came with an open mind and a willingness to change. As i write this, I am five months sober and free from the desperation and sickness of needing to pick up a drink to merely exist. I am sincerely grateful to all the good people at Arrow in Woodend for sharing the gift of their experience, some occasional ‘tough love’, and lots of genuine kindness and care. I would particularly like to thank Mazz, Kaz, Matty, and Ella for their inspiration, support and guidance on my path back to a life of hope, peace, and love.
Worst rehabilitation facility I have experienced. One particular staff member did not listen to the patients needs, the staff did not listen to how I was feeling it was all via text book not via understanding addiction and the communication between staff and patients was awful. Once I left I was dropped at a train station in whoop whoop with no money or any idea how to get home, also the station was opposite a bottle shop. The duty of care was disgusting and there was no follow up to even make sure I made it home safe. Cost a fortune, seemed like l they were after was money
After visiting Arrow Health for support in dealing with the grief of an addicted loved one, I can confirm that from my first interaction I knew I was in safe, considerate and empathetic hands. I sat the family first step program twice and I even had the incredible Family Counsellor Julie counsel me on what was happening with my loved one and where to next. This information was invaluable to me and left a lasting impact. These interactions have been so been so largely positive that I went on to work with Arrow Health until today (my last day!). From my outside and now inside perspective, the team at Arrow are amazing, are kind and care so much for what they do -they need all the recognition they get! What Arrow is doing for its clients and the public is so important and so vital right now - education and support that helps not only the client, but their greater support network too.
I’m really proud of working at Arrow, I’m proud of the insight and understanding that I have gained from working at Arrow and I implore many others to similarly come forward and seek that support when you need it. I felt really isolated when dealing with my addicted loved one and what I have learned is that there are a lot of services out there, and support networks to help. Largely none of us know what to do or how to act in these situations. Arrow is a great first step.
Absolutely the best place to detox and get recovery. The staff are caring and the food is great.loved the Yoga, really got me to push my body to new lengths.
I have just celebrated one year clean-and I can’t thank the Arrow Health team enough. I think about my time in Woodend each day as I achieve another day clean. I am forever grateful to the Lawrence Family and the staff for giving me my life back. It isn’t always easy but god I am glad that I can say, today I am clean.
Arrow is probably the best rehab for alcohol addition in Melb. My son has recently completed his second stay at the residential facility. His fourth rehab.
He made excellent progress this time and we have high hopes for his recovery. He was happy with the program and support provided, especially when his father died during his stay.
Our only complaint is with the aftercare plan.
A plan was worked out for him and he and his family were very happy with this. Unfortunately.the most important component of this did not happen and he was given a misleading contact.
He is working on this himself, while we all hold our breath, hoping he can successfully follow it through.
Disappointing, after an excellent start on the long road to recovery with a complete change in his attitude.
As a family member having Julie Liebers family sessions and support has actually empowered me to be able to be supportive. Addiction takes such a emotional toll on us, absolutely heartbreaking and to know that we actually have support is huge. Special mention to Dimity, what a wonderful asset she is to Arrow. I wish everyone well.
Arrow health is a money hungry rehab. I was not welcomed at all I had to carry my own luggage in and didn't even know where my room was. If you have mental health issues and are detoxing do not go here. The nurse is never arrowed and none of them are professional. I left here feeling worse than what I came there for.
The team at Arrow Health made the difficult process of my brothers rehabilitation a true joy to witness.
We sincerely thank the team for there thorough and caring approach.

12 months without a drink. Its hard but I've just got to live it one day at a time. Thank you Arrow Health for giving me my life back
