This is a lovely place to walk or picnic. Lots of areas to sit under trees and a kiosk as well.

RBGV are a wonderful place to spend time in nature, so close to the city. I often walk the bush trails, and see swamp wallabies, Echidnas, bandicoots and an abundance of bird life. My favourite times are the foggy mornings, when the trails take on an eerie look, opening up to beautiful sunshine in parts.

Quite a lovely garden to visit if the weather is cool and nice. May not be good to visit if hot. Not too many shelters around or shaded area along the walkway.

So many things to see and do. Covid restrictions have caused some sections to be closed for now, but still a good spot for a walk and picnic

Hidden gem and sublime botanical wonder. Great for anyone interested in native plants, award winning landscape architecture, contemporary children's play design, photography, exercise and Southern Brown Bandicoots.

Great for walks, would like it to be pet friendly but I understand. Also great for people that play Pokémon go, there is A lot to see there.

A magical place to visit with its different areas and well kept gardens. Flora and Fauna a plenty and its just on our back-door step.

Haven't been in years and it has changed so much! There is something for everyone here, many different garden displays to bring some inspiration into your own garden at home.
There's also an on-site cafe with plenty of picnic seating options all over the garden.

Loved walking around looking for some new native plants to add to our garden! Most of the plants were labelled which makes it easy to know the species.

One of Melbourne’s hidden gems. Not only does it house many beautiful plants and contain amazing artistic features, it has approx, 10km of walking tracks behind it, making you think you could be anywhere in the Victorian wilderness.

For many years we missed coming here.it would help if you came to take in the scenery.
You can choose to do guided tours or just explore the garden in your own way.
Our smiles says it all.

Such a well laid out and beautiful place to spend a sunny afternoon. There’s stuff for everyone; kids, couples, families. Particularly enjoyed the ease of navigating - lots of signage and maps, and an easy circular circuit. The views from Howson Hill were fantastic. Well appointed facilities too!

Nice garden even in winter. The electric bus ride through the garden was very informative. It costs 10 per person and lasts about half an hour.

Fantastic array of native vegetation, impressive layout that can be wandered through with ease and something to admire around every corner.
First time here but will be back to see it in every season to see how our natives cycle through the year. Would recommend to all
