Ararat Colonial Lodge Motel

Last minute booking for 3 very tired travellers.
Clean and tidy, comfortable beds. Great location off main road, nice and quiet. Would stay here again.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating and were only too happy to meet our needs.
We have travelled extensively over the years and yesterday we were served the most delicious motel breakfast we have ever tasted.
When we return to visit the area again we will be sure to book our stay with you.

Great owners - friendly and helpful. Nice clean rooms in a great location. Ample parking. Centrally located.the pool was nice and clean, as was the pool area. Free wifi of a decent speed. The best accommodation Ararat. I stayed there for the better part of a year. Would recommend for out of town workers, families or just passing through travelers.

Good place to stay in Ararat. The rooms are clean and you can easily walk everywhere. The owners & staff are lovely.

Very good and simple place with most of the facilities available and very nice location as well with all local amenities near by which includes Woolworths, fuel station, dominos, subway and many more shops just around 300 to 400 meters away. Plus very friendly staff and great affordable motel. Highly recommended.

A simple place with all required facilities. Gives the good old motel feeling which is great. Situated next to all shops inuding super markets, food outlets an fuel. Good friendly staff. Had a good stay here when visiting Grampians.

Christine and Dillon (Dhilon) were excellent hosts, nothing was too much of a problem or inconvenience for them for our 6 day stay while exploring the Grampians and local winners. Christine and Dillon were beautiful people who know how to make their guests feel special and were always available. The venue was very clean and has a pool and BBQ (plates and utensils supplied by motel) area which we used to have our private pool party. It was only a few minutes walk to the main st or wollies and to the Vines Cafe (and others close by) which we particularly liked. The golf club has a courtesy bus which picked up and dropped off on NY eve.

Bloody awesome motel and the owners are superb and friendly. Made staying a really wonderful experience. Would highly recommend to anyone passing through!

Delightful. Clean large rooms at a good price. New owners could not do enough to help us enjoy our stay. Everything was as it should be.

Stayed here last year, the manager could not be more accommodating. Even turned on our electric blankets, as it was the middle of winter. Highly recommend this establisment.

The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff are very friendly.

Be aware that the pool is far smaller than it looks like on the website.

This hotel staff was very rude and unprofessional.a women at reception was of very sick mind.i strongly dont recommend this hotel to anyone.

The rooms are a bit outdated and worn and the bed was harder then I am use too.

Just finished a week here and it was great. Thank you to Bruce and Denise for your help and great hospitality; I enjoyed the stay, the room was big and clean and the location was excellent. Staff were welcoming and friendly; I would stay here again.

The staff here are very lovely and helpful however the rooms are well past their prime. Everything was clean and functional but rooms were dark and dim and the bathrooms in particular are very outdated.

We stayed 2 nights in Feb 2019 and were 2 adults and 2 children.

The room was clean, the garden was well maintained, staff were very helpful and friendly and were only too happy to provide extra towels etc. They gave us fresh linen without us asking and the correct amount. The water pressure was very good and the shower maintained the temperature. A spacious shower also made it easy for us with our children. Though we didnt use it, the breakfast menu was extensive and affordable. There was also a power board in the room which we were able to use to charge phones, cameras etc with very easy access. The location of this motel also made it easy to walk to Alexandra Gardens, Woolworths, Target, a few fast food chains and to the main street. You could easily walk to most places from here. The car park for room 15 was a little hard to navigate, but it was handy being opposite the pool had we decided to use that facility.

The decor was a little outdated, but very functional and it didnt detract from our experience or level of comfort. The owners sound very excited for the upcoming renovations to bring the rooms into a more modern state and we cant wait to see what they do with the rooms!

We had a great stay and wouldn't think twice about recommending to out family and friends. Thanks for having us!

Executive Suite was very spacious with a King Bed. Staff were accomodating heating up the room for us in preparation for our late night arrival. Bathroom is a bit outdated but spacious as well.
