Arabesque Melbourne reviews
68Great food (most of the times) but the service decreased more and more. Went at 7pm on a Saturday, got the food at 8: 45 with cold fries. It’s a shame because they used to have the best traditional dishes and overtime the quality became inconsistent
Popped in for a quick lunch and coffee as I had to kill some time in the area. From the get-go, staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, lamb skewer was beautifully cooked with a nice charring that gave a fantastic burst of flavour. A "medium" sweetness on the turkish coffee was just right for me too, so from start to finish my brief visit was a very positive experience. Will definitely be looking for an excuse to head back soon!
I went last week to Arabesque (City) over the weekend with my wife and had the best lamb cutlets i have ever had! Amazing food and service!
The best shawarma in the whole of Melbourne. Has got the authentic taste and makes me keep coming back.
Awsome food, if you are from Middle East & missing authentic arab food, this is the place to be!
Beautiful ambiance with traditional decor and exquisite meals. Upstairs you are teleported to a foreign dreamscape where Usher sings you sweet nothings while you choke on the water-filtered exoticism
Beautiful place and very tasty food. Loved Magluba Kabsa and Farouj. Definitely a place in my frequent visit list. Oh and awesome coffee as well.
Great customer service! I called the restaurant as soon as there was a small error from Uber eats with my order and with less than 5 minutes they already solved my problem. Other than great customer service, most importantly the food taste amazing - yummy Chicken Fatteh! The food just made my Friday evening on a rainy day. Highly recommended to try their food! Would definitely be back to visit after lockdown
We love the team, the service and of course the food.
We tasted their menu through uber eats last year and since then we have ordered and also dined at the restaurant for few times.
There is something about their food and their quality that every time we order it definitely tastes as good as the previous time or even better.
Will definitely add photos of our next order.
I do not ordinarily write reviews. I was so impressed with this restaurant I felt obligated to write a review to do the right thing by the restaurant. The food was amazing. The taste, the portion, the service everything was on point. I cannot remember the last time I was this happy with a dining out decision. Please go check this place out, treat yourself and you will not be disappointed.
The food is really good and the price is fair - actually it’s really cheap for food this good. We walked by this place like a thousand times and this is our first time to try it - we always thought it was simply a cafe and there was nothing special about it. But we were wrong. We missed the whole world. It totally change my understanding of middle east cuisine. Definitely will come here more often as it is just a few minutes walk from our work place!
The quantity is soooooooo sooo small I ordered Zarb from Uber eat I waited for one hour and 20min and all I got is small box with little bit of rice and a lot sauce
The amazing Mencif I have tried ever. The place is very clean and nice. The decorations is originally Arabia. You can try the most delicious coffee in the Melbourne and you can celebrate in your birthday cake with friends.
The food was really good definitely recommend it, however, the customer service was horrible. We waited for 10 minutes to get seated and the waiter was very rude. Then waited another 10-15 minutes to have someone taking our order. And a very long wait to get the food. Obviously, the place is understaffed. Next time, I will go for take away just for the beautiful food. Hope you can improve your customer service.
Arabesque Restaurant pride themselves as an authentic Jordanian & Middle Eastern Cuisine, and after trying their food for the first time, I must agree with them. This is THE BEST Middle Eastern restaurant in Melbourne, and any other place that claims that spot is not even close.
As a Middle Eastern myself, it is very hard to find authentic Arabic food, that is not just Hummus & grilled food. I wanted something that tastes like home, so when I came here, I ordered the food that can be hard to find anywhere else:
Musakhan - char-grilled chicken cooked with onion, sumac dressed in fried almonds served over taboon bread with side of pickles & khiyar b’laban (cucumber yogurt salad).
Magluba (literal translation, upside-down) - slow cooked lamb or chicken, fried cauliflower & potato dressed in fried almonds served with side of khiyar b’laban (cucumber yogurt salad).
We opted for the lamb Magluba, and oh my oh my! The meat was juicy and tender, well cooked and seasoned. The Musakhan had the right amount of onion & sumac, and the chicken was perfectly cooked & seasoned. Both tasted exactly like how my mom makes them back home!
We ended our evening with a plate of Kanafeh, served with saffron shredded kataifi layered with cheese and pistachios, with a drizzle of saffron sugar syrup (which also comes on the side in case you want to add more).
I super loved this place, and we make it a point to get our Middle Eastern food dosage delivered to us every week.
The service in here is so bad I tried many times to go and have a good service but they keep disappointing me
The ambience is elite and soothing. Loved the customer service, very attentive and friendly staff members. I and my partner had the most amazing dishes and desserts experience on this restaurant. One of the best dine in experience in Melbourne.
One of the best restaurants I have ever experience the shisha is so good and so many variety of flavour.
They check the ID so straight. My friend is not allowed to do shisha 1 month younger then the required age. Love the place
Food was really good, tasty 4 stars to that. However, customer service was beyond acceptable. They were trying to not do eye contact with you, food was waiting on kitchen window, orders were coming wrong etc etc I could write more.starters came last, no water on the table even though we were trying to communicate with the waiter for water.
I mean dips are cold dish surprisingly it took more then 90 min to serve, so I hope they will increase the staff number on the floor and pay more attention to the customer service.
I was really disappointed to took my 18 friends to there for birthday dinner.
If you don’t mind waiting 1 hour for a falafel? Platter, you should try their food or do takeaway.
The atmosphere is really nice and location is convenient. However, service is almost non-existent, definitely need to hire more staff.
Edit: non-existent service meaning we were greeted but then not have our order taken for another 15minutes with another group behind us waiting as well. The sole person behind the counter had several drink orders to complete so they were unable to serve us. Roster more people on front of house so staff aren’t so stressed!
