88Used to be an excellent restaurant for Indian food. In my recent order, Curries were super oily. I removed full 1mm layer of oil from my 4 take away curries. Also curry was super sweet, not an authentic Punjabi test. Disappointed.
Too bad no words to explain how their staff deal with their customers and if ask them for resolution they said our owner said we can’t do anything. They will never ever accept their mistakes.
The girl who is working today with the cold is so bad, I ordered seven biryanis and she gave me 1 pickle 1 yoghurt, when I asked for more she was like “you only get one complimentary”. In the past I ordered and always got more. So if she’s serving be careful, try to get help from someone else not her. She has very bad service forever
I have been fan of Anshumann Da Dhaba since 2008 when I was living near Clayton. I moved in West in 2011 but still visited this pace time to time coz food here is so yummy that I literally crave for it some times. Their Afghani Kofta is my favourite. This place is mostly busy, specially over the weekend but their service is very quick so you don't have to wait long even if it's Full. Prices are very reasonable. I really recommend this place for food lovers.
I bought paneer masala with rooti. I asked the gal which one is the bes, she said paneer masala medium spicy is the best. Wen I tried it was full of salt. Like the added 1 full bowl of salt. I had to throw it. Seriously spoiled my weekend. Such a waste.
Decided to give the dhaba another go after being disappointed multiple times previously and the food quality is consistent now and the service is better the staff actual look like they care about the customers, keep it up just need to improve the interior a bit and you should he good.
Customer service was too bad and even they do not know they are working in a restaurant. They never feel happy when they see any customer. The way of food serving was terrible and they just throwing food on the table. Even they don’t say sorry when I mentioned their mistakes.
Extremely rude staff. Food can easily be replicated at any of the other Indian restaurants throughout Clayton. Start treating your customers better or leave.
If you'd like to pay for a plate of flavourless oil, go ahead.
I won't be making this mistake again.

I would say that it was a mixed experience. The food was really good except the service. There are no smile on staff faces as if they are doing us favors in serving foods

Worst staff ever. Girls at the front counter don’t even know how to behave or talk. No customer service. So dodgy.
No friendly staff even very rude owners the best one taste of taj please guys if you want eat dont come here in anshuman da dhaba.now at the the moment not dhaba daaba
Worst service and management was hoping on food but there was no surprise food was just there service and management won’t recommend to anyone. Worst restaurant in Melbourne doesn’t even deserve 1 star.
Last meal was supposed to be spicy
Totally missed the mark was bland as. Nan's were cold and soggy as if they had been made earlier
Staff was really very rude. No manners, no professionalism, girl at the register makes u feel u are not welcome into the restaurant. Food was good, but the only reason for not going back to this restaurant is because of their poor customer service.
Very very very rude staff, zero customer service, food is fine but girls working there they don't have any sense how to talk to customers.
It's ridiculous the way she asks for my order and when bringing the order she stair at me like she is going to eat me I have not left the restaurant.
I called staff for order even I tried to go to counter for order but one girl came from kitchen and told very rude to me “ Aa gayee 1 min” means Coming in 1 min. We asked from her one dish and she told it will take 25-30 min for 1 dish. Even I asked if me plan to come next time and can we request before we come but she said no and also we offered we can pay. We can’t take order on phone for dine in. Another side she told me you taking me wrong.
As per my opinion customer have right to ask questions if we having food and taking paid services from Dhaba.
I observed lot of other things as well. Hard to discuss at the moment by typing as well.
I don’t understand they mention today special. If they can’t help customer with special food then better to remove from list.
Really disappointed
Unsafe from covid, they just wipe tables with tissue, no sanitising, rude staff, terrible girls working there, staff may be working long hours, one star i gave for food only, staff just ignoring people. Under my table was mess with tissues, salad, table was very dirty, I know owner is good, he really need to trained staff,
So true what the other readers say, the lady waitress reluctantly took our order, and asked us mild, or medium, I said mild, the answer I got was we can not do mild (not sure why she gave us the choice, strange) then she goes to the the other and directly laughed in our face for reasons only they know. Poor really poor and yes the hygiene needs a good look at. I think the previous owner may have sold this plac he way great.
