Animal Land children's farm reviews
59Loved our experience, good pricing, excellent food options especially for children, great activities, we had an awesome day! Thankyou
Hey there. I just visited with my coming onto 4 year old grandson. Overall I think the farm is great. However the petting zoo for me was pretty horrifying. Animals so young and being handled over and over again without resting. And also being dropped at times. I have seen petting zoos at markets where the animals are rested between holds. And I am not too sure if the petting zoo in the shed is the right environment for the animals. A shaded outside area may help with their stress levels; which I am sure they are feeling. As I said, the farm all in all was good but your petty zoo definitely needs a rethink.
Visited Animal land for the first time, at there Halloween special. Such a fun day very well organised. Loved the pony rides & the walk around the farm seeing the animals. Such good burgers
My kids loved this farm, especially the pony rides section Sam and Seth were very accomodating and I very happy with the service provided.
To start this off I am a 13 year old child and this is my point of view so please no negative comments.
I went to this farm 25/9/23 and the overall experience was pretty disappointing. They had free pony rides which the pony seemed really tired and bored as they were walking around in a circle a minute per child all day everyday. I’m not gonna say that the pony’s didn’t get feed as I saw one pony was fairly overweight. There was a petting zoo which looking at the Guinea pigs they were extremely distressed and terrified. I am stating this fact because young kids aged 2-10 need to learn to respect the animals boundaries and not grab the animals by the ear. There were also bunnies and a 10 day old lamb there. I really felt sorry for the lamb as it was so small compare to all the other people. I thought there was going to be a tour around the farm but I guess I was wrong as you just had to walk around yourself. I walked around and found 2 pony’s and 1 horse which by the looks of it they were not groomed nor looked after. The animals had no more grass to eat and the fields need to be turned over (put in a new field). For 1 adult and a child the tickets came to get her at $40 which is quite overpriced. This farm needs to pour out way more money than they are at the moment as it is obvious that they are not.
This place is perfect for young kids who love to play and run around. Some of the harmless animals are just freely roaming and you can feed them and actually eat. Don’t forget to ask for more feeds because the animals here are sure hungry. There’s a little
maze which I think is just enough size for 1-4yrs old. Pony ride is also very good, play ground is a winner. Not much food choices but it’s enough and suitable for the place.
Way better than Collingwood Children's Farm. More animals. Most are out and roaming, and follow you around. You get given food to feed all the animals. Great place!
Good experience. My daughter enjoyed a lot. Well maintained and always good to spend quality time during weekends or holidays.
So much fun for the kiddies, perfect place for a Saturday visit or a birthday party. Super friendly staff and great facilities. Coffee shop and food available.
Had an awesome day, they really put on a great day for adults and children alike, great facilities, fantastic to interact with the animals, all round a great day
Great for kids who like pony rides. Animals like sheep, goat, cow, chickens, ducks, turkey.
Cafe inside the farm, shade to eat food, place to celebrate birthday, reachable by train + cab (a bit long walk), ample car park, toilet available
Muddy when rains.
This is very average place to go, we didn’t notice any staff welcome or say hello to anyone. You have to buy the tickets even for little ones. Animals looks not very happy or healthy. Needs to more organised, neat and well presented.
Great day took the kids today, have to say it's one of my favourites, love that you can touch and feed the animals, the pony rides were great play area for the kids is so nice really enjoyed it. Will defenatly be back
Stayed 4 nites at the farm. Power outage on the 1st nite, plenty of waiting after a long day of travelling. Guys tried to fix the problem but by midnight, still only 1 house out of 3 had lights, so most of us went to bed at 1am without shower nor room heater.
One of the houses' heater is rather complex to use, always showering in the cold. And the toilet tap is falling off the sink. Wished the maintenance was done before we came in, or the accommodation charges should have reflected the run down situation. Per night charges are not cheap to begin with.
The other 2 houses are ok -1 new and modern, the other old.
Didn't see Laurie throughout the 4 days until the last day that I had to look for him at the office. Asked Laurie for inconvenience compensation, but he says the outage is not his fault, not sure why I should be paying for it. Offered me 2 bottles of wine, felt offended.
Farm experience was good for the kids though.
Beautiful Farm, lots of animals, very organized, friendly staff, yummy fresh food cafe, hand feeding animals was best experience, highly recommended for a nice day trip,
Pretty average and boring, especially for the price, I rather drive an hour up to doveton myuna farm and pay less than $10 for triple the amount of animals & much more range. Not a lot of animals here. Was a bit disappointed unfortunately. Hopefully they can make improvements
Not much animals to see and in the nursery they only had rabbits and Guinea pigs we couldn’t feed the animals because of the electric fences and overpriced Paid 90$ for 2 adults and 2 kids which is soooo not worth it bc we spent less than an hour there the only good thing was the pony rides
This place was very good. A little bit busy, but got to see all animals and feed most of them. This place was much better than the one at Collingwood. Looks like there are 2 sessions per day because most people were just showing up at 10am and they couldn't handle the numbers. We came at 12.30 and was very busy but most people were starting to leave. By 1 to 2pm most people were gone (so afternoon works best in my opinion). For some reason i thought that may have been guided walks (misread the website) - overall very happy and certainly recommend my 2yr old loved it.
Arrived 7 minutes after "walk-ins" closed having driven for 45 minutes to get there. The place was still open for several hours but staff were pretty rude/un-accommodating and turned us away. Our kids were really upset so won't be going back.
Highly recommend this animal farm, I have NEVER met such friendly cows at a petting farm in my life usually cows are skittish but the cows here had me laughing with how much they want your attention! The big cow saw me from 10m away and ran straight over gave her some food and she loved the attention and then another beautiful cow ran over too! They enjoyed pats and even were curious on my daughter in the pram and poked there head out of there fence to have a look at her in the pram it had us in stitches from laughing! You can tell these animals are well cared for! Loved there food experience also with good music reasonable food prices and lots of variety to choose from! Only wish the nursery was a bit bigger with more animals other than that absolutely beautiful highly recommend! Friendly staff all round
