Very enjoyable dinner and drinks in a busy and cosy environment. Friendly service. Could use another register in the Bistro for when it gets busy.

I was really annoyed when I was waiting to buy a couple of drinks and the bar man ignored me to served the two guys who had arrived after me. Didn't even ask who was next.

Went here tonight for a meal and a couple of drinks, Let me warn anyone planning to come here DO NOT come on a friday night, young kids running around everywhere screaming (and swearing?) completely unsupervised. Reasonable wait time for food considering the long line and one poor girl stuck on one register, which along with that and the nice location/venue/live music (that I could somewhat make out over the screaming banshee's) was the only reason i'm giving another star. Unfortunately the two burgers we ordered were really dry and left little to be desired so probably won't be back here for food again: (

Been many years since I've been there and was very pleasantly surprised. Has been updated and the decor is great and very relaxing. Had the roast of the day which was pork and vegies and it was delicious and cooked on the day and not reheated. Will definately go back again. The staff were attentive and couldn't have been more helpful. Great lunch.

Great spot for a drink. Lovely outdoor area with a river view. The Sunday arvo vibe was very pleasant. Decent live music, plenty of screens full of sport: but none of it too loud, so conversation was still easy.

Decent list of beers in tap, if you're not a hipster. Great wedges. Polite and attentive staff.

The service was terrible, we waited 1hour for desert after asking four times. The staff didn't seem very concerned. It puts you off going back.

Very disappointing, I got to the place ordered a drink, made my choice on the menu, got to the counter and I was informed specials were not on. I had to finish my drink and go next door (Waterloo, they did not drop the specials) for eating just in protest.

Got turned away because my friends were wearing shorts on a 30 degree day even though we were just heading to the restaurant! This ain't no fine dining restaurant so stop trying to act like one.

Food was good and reasonably priced. Beautiful outlook along the river with various outdoor areas to relax in and catch up with friends. Also, large indoor areas available.

Great pub with a good range of beers on tap and the poker tournament on Tuesdays always makes for a fun night.

Have eaten out quite a bit in varied towns across Oz. Went to write this review and was not surprised to see many others have had similar experiences at the Anglers Tavern. Thought it would be a great place with riverside views in one of the upper suburbs of the west. Worst place I've been to. Poor service, line up beside diners to order at one cashier. Food was below average, still repeating on me six hours later. Garlic bread cooked on one side, worst I've had. Shame really, prime location and clientele, good luck with it.

Good service and location by the river, but that's it. I have had several meals over last couple of years and each time the meals are a let down. If you want a reasonable meal go somewhere else.

Waited for 1.5 hours, still no food. Waiting staff didn't care, until we came across the manager who was more than happy to give us a refund. Wouldn't go back and don't recommend.

It's certainly changed alot since the "good ol days" the fitout and the layout is quite good and fresh. There's a very eclectic crowd but really surprised at the amount of smokers.

This place was spacious and open meaning high ceilings and yeah I felt chilled. Had an amazing tasting Haloumi Salad (really good)

Great place for families. Generous serves, good fresh food, great atmosphere, and lovely staff. They always let us bring our own birthday cakes, and provide all the things to easily cut and share the cake.

The Paella that came to our and other tablets were the driest I have ever seen. Went to order drinks at the bar and the waiters were busy making coffee for themselves and I and another guy had to move to another bar to get service. It was not even a busy night.

They are quite unresponsive to request for hosting functions. It seems that they are too busy to cater to existing clients to bother for potential new ones. I waited for days and didn't hear back from them despite of repeated reminders. They are very unprofessional!

Nice food, bit pricey. Nice cakes, but no ability to take one home for afterwards. Was full on dinner.
