Andrew's Hamburgers reviews
77After your hamburger you can walked it off in st Vincent's gardens or even walk to the beach. It's a nice and clean burger bar with friendly attentive staff.
I wish i could give them 0 star rating. Ordered 2 burgers, 2 chips and 2 water bottles. But received only 2 burgers and 1 chips with tomato sauce.
Chips looks like old and leftover. Burgers are disgusting. It was a mistake that I ordered from them. But i will not recommend this worst place to anyone.
Was walking past and the smell Drew me in, I ordered a hamburger with a lot with a side of chips “fantastic” chips were spot on and the burger 8/10 all served with a smile and excellent friendly customer service.
A fish and chip style burger which i prefer, and a fantastic version of one. Definitely one of the best burgers I have ever eaten.
Burger was good and chips were very oily tasting.
Pretty much a gourmet fish and chip burger.
Simply the absolute best burger you will get in Melbourne. The specials are great and the chicken burger is awesome. Highley recommend and would love to go back although it's too expensive for me to take a 24 hour flight from London to eat burgers. Nothing in Melbourne even comes close to these guys' burger scene.
Having been going to this burger shop for 70 years, once was great, today burger was so salty I could not eat it. Will think twice before going again.
We had to wait 15 minutes for our order and it was well worth the wait! Delicious hamburgers cooked to perfection. What's more - we ate our meals in the perfect setting of St Vincent's Park, which is just around the corner. Highly recommended!
Burgers are delicious old school style, fresh and beef patty cooked perfectly
nice small shop but can get busy at times.the chips can do with some improving, absolutely tasteless, even the seagulls at st kilda beach agree
Although it was a long wait, but burgers were amazing! Will definitely be back again, especially for the Sanchez Mexican.
Good value. Generous-sized. Delicious. Friendly service always. I like my burgers simple-beef patty on shredded iceberg lettuce with fried onions, fresh tomato and sauce and toasted bun with sesame seeds. Can't beat it!
This is a personal message for Andrew.
I’m not a sloppy hamburger fan, so if my partner wants an Andrew’s Burger I go for the Souvlaki. And that is the problem. For all the praise you get for burgers, your Souv is a disaster.
A souv is simpler than a burger and it’s easy to hit the mark.
You use a hot plate to start and sear the lamb hard. Maybe you can marinate the lamb a bit so that it caramelises fast.
Then you use fresh tomatoes lettuce and onions.
For the sauce you use good yoghurt with a big hit of lemon juice and fresh garlic (not too much garlic because it’ll kill the lemon).
If you use cucumber don’t over do it.
Lastly you use that hot plate to sear the pita. Get some black on the high points. Then you have a great souv.
Andrew’s failed to hit most of those marks. It was bland boring and generally unappetizing.
Please, make it the way Stalactites would.
I’ll be back in a month and I expect to see significant improvement.
Good burgers, cute, old school feel, it's a nice find! A bit slower on the service but overall happy with our vegetarian burgers!
Love eating a big burger and not feeling gross after.
You know what you're going to get here, never disappoints.
Quality ingredients from local producers (Soth Melbourne market) and fries from fresh clean oil.
I don't need to recommend it, generations already have.
I don't recommend ordering chips they're broken little pieces. It's the second time that I get them. I gave them the benefit of the doubt but it if it happened twice, it seems that's the quality.
An iconic eatery in Melbourne!
The staff are great and if they aren’t too busy will say G’day to everyone.
Ordering is really straight forward and effective - everyone who answers is polite and clear.
Wait time on a busy night ranges from 15 - 30 mins (considering how packed it gets on a Friday night, that’s very impressive!).
The quality of the food itself has declined over the years, however the classic ‘Burger with the lot’ remains as one of the most enjoyable, artery clogging, comfort foods one can have. They remain a good burger shop just not quite what they once were.
All in all, a solid Friday night takeaway place - a popular destination for all Albert park/middle park/south melbourne locals!

People not from bayside like your food, but the locals have had enough. Soy sauce through the whole bag even though I asked for no soy. This is the second time it’s happened. I called and a kid answered the phone and he said I own the business (lol) and then said he had a rough day. I would be too if I was sending out food like this. You just lost a a customer and I am one of many. Good luck for your future, even though you’ve survived this long doesn’t mean your always going to be around. Good luck.
Had one with the lot, it was really good, was really busy on Saturday night but it was worth the wait
I've been reading the reviews from the closed CBD store and the Albert Park one, a lot of complaints on service and burgers from people who have no idea what they're talking about.
Fantastic burger and restaurant. Want a break from the fancy brioche bun burgers? This is the burger to try. I wouldn't recommend ordering from a delivery service, as the buns may turn out soggy just based on all the ingredients included. Textures are great, smells are great, flavours are great and not overpowering. You might struggle with keeping it together especially when getting to the middle.
Pictured is the double patty Smokey Robinson.
Quality of burgers have dropped off since he’s poached an egg instead of fried its definitely not a traditional burger anymore it’s more get it out the door quickly BAD MOVE.
