Nearest store and petrol if visiting Steglitz up in the hills. And last petrol until you get to Ballan. But remember like many small country places, not open in evening.
A great local all rounder, you can get lots here, from lunch or fuel to a cold beer at the Bar.
A great place to a coffee on the go when visiting the area, or stop by in the arvo for a cold one.
This is the only Fuel stop for a while and handy to top up when visiting the nearby Brisbane ranges National Park.
Good for a quick stop or bite to eat, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit. The staff are a bit rude.
Minimum of $10 EFTPOS is the only thing that gives me a little trouble because I always end up buying chocolate or lollies to make up for it.
This place has it all. Newsagent, bar, juke box, post office, milk, bread, lollies and chinese takeaway. Pop in for one of their home made sausage rolls. Yummo.
Anakie Store - the Best little tucker stop in Australia
My favourite is lemon chicken and special fried rice, totally delicious and far more than enough for one person, best to share. The friendliest and happiest people I've ever met in fifty years of travelling, definitely worth a detour. Plenty of tucker to choose from, we always drop in to and from a stay down on the Great ocean Road. Don't drive past Anakie Store, you'll miss a treat.
They were very helpful in providing water for my overheating car and they filled all my water bottles before I left
This Vietnamese run General store have the best most wholesome hand made pies, breads, vegetarian rolls, pastries and Vietnamese dim Sims. Very yummy. Easy pleasant parking and seats to sit on.
Was a pleasure popping in to the Anakie General Store yesterday on my way to Trentham. Service was friendly, food was nice and the town very pleasant.
Great place to stop and grab a coffee and a bite. Lovely, friendly staff, a joy and great service.

Grabbed a couple of milkshakes and pie and sausage roll and egg and lettuce sandwich.
Sausage roll was nice but a little overcooked. Everything else was awesome. Very friendly staff.
