Amazing food and service, could not fault at all. Only complaints are number of stairs to get to the bathroom, and the lack of phone reception inside.

Had a good time here, food was great, cocktails were good, service was fantastic. Quick warning if you choose to sit inside though, there wasn't any (at least in our case) reception/data - I'd recommend sitting outside if you care about that.

It doesn't look fantastic, but Amigos tastes amazing. We dined on a busy Saturday night, and Amigos can cater for no reservation but beware the space inside is quite tight and limited. The service is impeccable and they do a great job of making sure you feel welcomed.
The food tasted marvellous but does look like slop. The burrito and enchilada we had were full of tasty slow cooked beef, Amigos not being cheap with their meat portions. For the cost, it's not the cheapest but not terribly unreasonable either.
Can recommend visitng Amigos and sharing a meal when looking for some heavy but flavourful food.

The food wasn't amazing. I'm not too fussy about my food being spicy. I love my chillies! My husband asked for a mildly spiced burrito. And even in my standards it was on the higher end of the spiciness level. I wonder what spicy is like if mild is like that.

Chicken honey mushroom in mustard sauce fajita was so creamy and the best fajita I ever had. Very yummy

Terrible this restaurant is a mockery to real Mexican food. And on top of that they are expensive. Avoid at all costs.

I expected the food here to be a lot better than it was - I’d honestly say Taco Bill or GYGs are better. Their drinks are excellent but their food is very bland.

Have been coming here for more years than I can remember. From back when there were multiple restaurants across Melbourne. I'm so happy this one remains as it's always SO fantastic, we get excited every time we think of going. Thank you to the whole team for the fantastic food and hard work.

I've had better, but I've also had worse. Food was nice, but not great. Drinks are great, which was a redeeming thing, service was spot on, another tick.

Good Mexican inspired food. The serving sizes were enormous and more than plenty to share. Margaritas were quite nice too. The inside seating is a bit tight and food isn’t authentic but overall it’s a great meal.

Wow had some Mexican delights here. I did spill a little on my shirt but nothing a bit of sofa water couldn’t fix?

Go to GYG and at least they won’t serve you guacamole from the supermarket.

The food was cold, bland, expensive and also horrible. The sangria was the most disgusting/weird looking one I have ever had in my life.

THEIR GUACAMOLE IS THE MOST MISLEADING AND DISGUSTING THING ABOUT THIS PLACE AS IT IS CLEAR FROM PHOTOS IT IS STORE BOUGHT. I mentioned this to the waitress when paying and she pretended to be surprised at my comment and dared to say they make it in the house. Are you kidding? Just look at the photos and choose for yourself.

Don’t be mislead by the good comments here - you are better off going to Macca’s just around the corner! For Mexican food lovers like me please don’t get close to this place you will be as horrified/disgusted as I was.

They should be ashamed of serving food like this under the name of ‘Mexican food’.

Save yourself this terrible and overpriced food when there are so many better quality places in Melbourne.

Only giving one star due to the atmosphere outside. The food was bland and tasteless. Would not waste my time and money. Mexican fast food at GYG is better than this.

Generally really displeased with this place. The table next to us (a party of over 5) received their drinks and food before my partner and I received ours, even though their table had arrived over 10 minutes after we made our order. The bar staff are incredibly slow, one drink takes on average 8-10 minutes for her to make. We were seated right next to the bar, another staff member came to ask the bartender about another tables drinks and I overheard her say "i don't care what they say, they'll just have to wait" then proceeded to walk slowly away. I also witnessed one server flirting heavily with one of the bartenders instead of checking tables which was really awkward to see and hear. This is appalling customer service. The food was average, lacking in any real flavour, the nachos could have been made by a 13 year old with Coles supplies. My partners cocktail tasted like it was made with off juice. The hostess didn't ask us how our food was because she knew it was clearly terrible and didn't want to offer an apologetic desert or discount. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, nor would I return for myself. Hopefully they can work on their overall quality.

Always loved the combination of ingredients of Mexican food. The sizzling assorted meats (chicken, prawn, pork) for tortilla are very tasty. The dipping guacamole is homemade with a hint of spiciness. We enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant. All the best for the business!

I ordered Nachos with beef to take away, and look what they gave me.
I don't think it was a mistake because I was the only costumer there.
I suggest you to be honest with the costumer and just say that you don't have what I asked for.
So disappointed.
