Amiconi Restaurant reviews
68Really great service, food is authentic and delicious, love the classic design, great portion, and size. Highly recommended!
Highly recommend. This cute place is a thriving place, so book ahead! Their waiting service was spot on. We never felt watched or pressured, which we loved because we felt so welcomed. The food is spectacular and cooked to perfection. Can't wait to come back! Pictured is the liver, served as an entree and shared between the 2 of us. It was a perfect portion.
For dessert was tiramisu. Once again, perfect for 2 people, sharing
Truly 5 star experience! This is a little gem - cosy, intimate and Italian went there for a work dinner and it surpasses all expectations. The food was delish - we ordered the banquet. The seafood was to die for. Prawns and calamari were perfectly cooked. The pasta was great! The star was the eggplant parmigiana. The staff was very attentive and really good hosts. Will definitely visit again.
Long time Family owned, cozy Italian restaurant, serving a great range of homestyle food. Be sure to book on weekends.
I Traveled to Melbourne from Adelaide and I went to this quaint little restaurant and was blown away by the authentic Italian cuisine. The desserts are to die for ' home made' especially the Tiramisu it's a 10.
'You won't be disappointed' definitely coming back!
I’m still at this restaurant and leaving a review it’s that good! Service is impeccable, humble, kind and professional. The food is amazing, with a vibe to match. Bloody well done guys, You’ve got something you can only gain from experience and it shows. Absolutely fantastic, highly recommend. X
I have to say this restaurant would have to be one of the best I've been to in melb. Food amazing service amazing and so warm and inviting.
Main waiter kept sneezing, liek every ten minutes. Was making us feel very uncomfortable. Food was not bad. Tables to close together, very tight space.
Can't beat this place for service and authentic food. And the little-known fact that they mix the best classic martini, order it with the mussels and enjoy
Very cute cosy Italian restaurant! The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was beautiful, especially the bruschetta and garlic & herb bread starters! The linguine marinara and tortellini e funghi were amazing! Highly recommend for a cute and/or romantic dinner.
Amiconi is an incredible authentic Italian restaurant, with wonderful atmosphere and staff. My Italian family go there all the time - and it takes a lot for an Italian family to go to an Italian restaurant! Defintely try the banquets
I loved this place and can’t wait to go back. My partner and I walked past and noticed it was packed out. We booked dinner the next night and found out why it’s so popular. We ordered two pasta dishes to share which were thoughtfully presented. The bread to mop up the sauce and olives to start were a nice touch and made the experience even better. Will be working our way through the menu over the coming weeks! Honest, delicious, authentic Italian food.
Had a work function dinner here on a weekday. This is a small restaurant with a homey feel. The staff are great, very welcoming and happy to explain the menu if there's anything you need to know. They were attentive without being intrusive so we never had to wait long for a waiter. This seems to be very much a family restaurant, with a simple hearty Italian menu. The serves are generous and everything I had was delicious. The veal parmigiana was delicious with a couple of tender flavourful veal slices and a delicious topping. Others had Seafood Marinara, Scallopini, everyone enjoyed their meals. Antipasto serve for 2 was huge, with a great range of cheeses, olives, marinated tomatoes, aubergine, mushrooms, various meats etc. The huge platter only had a couple of Grissini/breadsticks on top of it which was nowhere near enough for the amount of Antipasto. Atmosphere is very homey, down to earth. This is the sort of place I would come to on a regular basis for a relaxed family style meal.
Old school establishment, food is tasty, you wont be disspointed. Although the promotion is over the melbourne money worked at this place despite a hand written receipt. The manager is a boss and reme.
Top Place, Great Staff, Perfect Food and the owner is a lovely bloke.see ya"s again very soon.
Cute little trattoria with nice ambience and good food, friendly service. Definitely one of our favorite spots in local area. Good for a laid back, relaxing date night
Amiconi e bellísimo! It is an Italian Restaurant with delicious flavours, the staff is wonderful and I feel a little bit in Italy! Recommend to get a yum pasta, bravissimo!
This little quaint restaurant is our favourite spot to go to for good food - really friendly service and absolutely brilliant authentic Italian cuisine!
Highly recommend to try out this place if you are ever in this side of the town:)
My go to “homestyle cook” Italian food in my neighbourhood. Great food and ambiance along with my fav bottle of red.
Just like nonna's food. Authentic, traditional, unpretentious, delicious, abundant and flavoursome food. Never disappoints. Always on time and with a great service. Our go-to at anytime restaurant and takeaway. And the atmosphere! There are some good reasons this historic restaurant is still standing for decades. Grateful for your presence and service. Thank you.
