Amiconi Restaurant reviews
68This is my favourite restaurant and my first recommendation to any visitor without a doubt. Every meal is like a meal at granny’s home, so delicious and relaxing, and I have already started to look forward to the next meal before leaving. Thank you for all the good memories and cannot wait to the next time.
Delicious!
It was our first time and will definitely be going back!
The garlic mushroom is a must to order!
I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was cozy. Highly recommend
The most amazing Italian food we have ever had. The staff and owner were so lovely. I definitely recommend.
Went with a large group. I had tagliatelli carbonara and it was delicious. The garlic bread and bruschetta were also very tasty.
Great atmosphere and friendly service.
Authentic Italian cuisine been a few times and and will be many more, owner / staff go out of their way to make sure things are perfect would highly recommend
Fantastic place.it is apparently over 100 years old having paased down each generation and they serve authentic Italian dishes. Absolutely loved the food and atmosphere
This has been a staple in our family since the 90s, I often go back to reminisce about the good old days & it never disappoints. The calamari is their speciality & you should definitely get it but every dish from the eggplant to the gnocci is perfect.
Most authentic Italian restaurant in Victoria! The food was beyond delicious, will definitely be coming here at least once a month! The service was exceptional! Cannot recommend this restaurant enough!
Great restaurant for dinner dates, food reminds me of homestyle cooking from Nonna. Staff are also excellent and the atmosphere is welcoming and professional. We will be frequenting Amiconi in the future to take friends out to dinner.
We got reservations for three ppl but had to wait for more than 30 minutes outside to be served while other customers coming after us could dine in first. We had to be seated in the front outdoor table which is very dusty and windy that day. The old man waiter (I didn’t catch his name) was very lovely and kind but poor him he got yelled at as making some mistakes by a younger waiter. That behaviour left such a very bad impression for your clients.
Food is authentically good, however, very upset for this experience and never come back again
Absolutely fabulous and very tasty authentic Italian food. Friendly and very helpful staff. Garlic mushrooms are a must.
A great meal in a lovely setting. Had lunch with my brother and 6 friends, very nice selection of foods all reasonable prices. Will be back
Found this gem of a restaurant while visiting Melbourne and after reading they've been at it for over 50 years, knew straight away it would be amazing. The reviews are true!
Ambiance is authentic old-school Italian, buzzy with a crowd of regulars and newbies. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and serve generous meals. Great food, done the way it should be.
Magnificent old style original Restaurant with great relaxing atmosphere and stylish food.class without being pompous
Great atmosphere, kind staff. House bread and the wine we ordered were excellent. However. The staff hovered, we got the impression they clearly wanted us in and out (even though we had made a reservation, so this should not be an issue). Friends I was with said their food was decent, though nothing outstanding. As for me I had the pistachio & prawn linguini. Sorry, but it just was not good food, much less worth the price point. Little taste, and the linguini sat in a pool of what appeared to be 90% oil, then with some boiled greens (bad texture) in a clump in the middle. Prawns were good but then again, prawns are prawns.
Seems like a popular place and I wish them well but I would not return nor recommend this place, unfortunately.
We had an amazing experience at Amiconi. The food was great and the portion is quite generous. The risotto was beautiful.
The food was so good, we nearly lick the plate! Love the atmosphere dining at Amiconi, the range of Italian dishes was exquisite and beautiful, will definitely return again
The best Italian I’ve had in a long while, very very recommendable. Thanks for a great night out - 5 Stars and 10/10
Good Italian restaurant in North Melbourne.very busy on the weekend. We waited around 15 min for our table. Good and fast service.
