American Hotel Echuca

A great feed can be had here. I had the large gnocchi, which tasted fresh, flavoursome and was filling. The Mrs ate the seafood Linguine, again it was filling and flavoursome. Both get 4.8 ot of five.
The beer. I drank a pint of the Asahi Black. If you like great beer, you'll be very disappointed. It has been killed by (CUB brew it I believe) It has minimal flavour, it's as though they've coloured Carlton Dry black (note, this has nothing to do with the hotel).

Have give credit to the chef who deviated from the menu to address my food allergies, my meal was wonderful and caused no digestive discomfort, or skin allergies, thanks again to the staff who assisted the preparation of my meal, " very happy" thankyou

This well renovated cool hotel has no idea. The food is terrible (Nachos with a slimy tasteless - thankfully - artificial cheesy sauce, Gnocchi that has been baked after cooking, stiff, hard and absolutely terrible), there was live music but the poor girl was placed under the giant screen where the football was playing. The football was showing where tables were reserved so people had to leave, we were seated in an outside area without heaters. There are dozens of places in Echuca where the food is better, the football is on, live music doesn't compete with football or other screens showing other music with the sound off. Very poor and extremely disapointing.

Great venue but food was hit and miss. Roasted broccoli salad was amazing but pumpkin gnocchi was truly ordinary, a completely tasteless meal.

Amazing venue. Great food menu, drink selection, pricing and overall location, the American Hotel has a wonderful indoor/outdoor space with a huge screen sporting live AFL and UFC matches when on. We had the Beef Burger and the Grilled Chicken burger, and they were sensational. Pricing was on point. Great selection of beers on tap, thanks again American!

Great atmosphere for a pub! Staff were friendly & food was pretty quick to come out. Footy was on the big screen which is always a bonus

Great pub, great food, great atmosphere. Shockingly awful bar staff who were talking to each other all night instead of serving customers. Very busy establishment, but there was no urgency behind the bar.

Up here in Echuca from Melbourne and have visited this place twice as it was just a comfortable and welcoming experience. Staff were warm, friendly and helpful (dont lose this), with a good variety of dishes on the menu. Steaks were cooked as ordered, other mains and entrees were tasty as well.

Plenty of space, however can get busy which obviously does add to the wait times so keep this in mind. Wont be surprised if im back for a 3rd time in a couple weeks lol. Cheers
