Alzburg Resort

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in a studio room and loved everything about it. We only wish we could have stayed longer. The room had a kitchenette with washer/dryer and dining setting. The facilities were great with the tennis courts and table tennis tables being a real hit. We enjoyed some friendly competition between us The staff were so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We look forward to coming back sooner rather than later and recommend this gem of a place to everyone.

The room was beautiful, good size, king size bed, great to have a laundry and beautiful pool for a swim.

I recently rented ski equipment from a ski hire business and had a generally positive experience. The staff was friendly, the equipment was well-maintained, and the overall service was satisfactory. However, I encountered some issues with the bindings, as they would occasionally pop out too easily while skiing, which was frustrating and impacted my enjoyment on the slopes. Despite this drawback, I appreciate the professionalism of the ski hire business and would recommend them, with the hope that they address the binding quality concern for an improved experience in the future.

Review is for ski hire from Alzburg. I found the Equipment for hire is old. One person in our party hired ski, poles and boots. We found the pole broken by the time we got up the mountain so we hired from another shop. When we returned the equipments at the end of day we had to pay for the broken pole.

Room was comfortable clean and well priced for an overnight stay grounds and pool looked well maintained, this was our second stay here

We have been going to this hotel for the past 10 years. However, since the new management started a few years ago things have gotten much worse. They don't care anymore. The ROOMS are now DIRTY with sticky remote controls and lack of upkeep to the hotel by the new management team is sad to see. When you ask them to fix the problem they turn around and say that you are being demanding. They have No customer service skills at all and they don't appreciate feedback

Always relaxing and enjoyable when we stay at Alzburg. The rooms have everything you need. The staff are friendly and accomodating. There is so much for the kids to do.

Rooms are spotless, especially bathrooms, crisp white linen and towels, pool is sparkling clean, heaps of outdoor settings to sit and eat, easy walking distance to town, friendly staff, good coffee, heaps of parking. Will definitely rebook again thanks

Very clean. Nice size pool. Like the tv in the bathroom enjoyed the spa. Staff very helpful and friendly.

I didn't stay here but I use their buses - from Melbourne and from Mansfield - and their hire services every year and they are always really helpful, organised and patient and attentive to the details. The gear has always been well maintained and fit for purpose.

Unfortunately I do not know of the rooms here.
But this is a great place for hiring chains for cars when driving to Mt Buller.
But being the first place, I feel the rate charged by this spot is too expensive.

We were following the bus tour here to rent the ski equipments in the morning. They’re 4 of us, one of my friend’s boots and ski didn’t fit very well, the ski will slipped away from the boots while skiing. Mine one totally ridiculously unfitted, the gap in the ski are way too big to attach the boots in it. This is our first time, we have no experience at all, I had missed my ski class on Mt. Buller and my friend fell down a few times nearly get injured because of it, so ended up unhappy and couldn’t really enjoy the ski.
After the incident happened, we had contacted the resort and told them everything, but the staff (it was a lady) who answered the phone call don’t even apologize, she was trying to pass the buck to us. It was saying we swap or somehow mixed up the equipments by ourselves, it shouldn’t be their responsibility and let us to return it back for examine. This is unacceptable, very irresponsible and rude.
We returned all the equipments in the evening, the other staff examined and tested all the equipments and turns out it was their mistake, so ended up got my refund.
Overall, most of their staff are still friendly and helpful while they assisting us to checking on the equipments and explaining the mistake patiently.so they earned 1 more star, but I won’t recommend for anyone and next time.

Regarding the resort location under the mountain at Mt Buller, there is a rental service available. It is suitable to live here to pick up the equipment and then take the bus to go!

Please try and avoid booking with this hotel, they have a no refund policy with very little consideration for interstate travellers that are unable to travel. If you need to stay at this hotel book just before travelling when you know you can make it. Very disappointing to come across an accommodation provider with such inflexible and self serving policies in this current environment. Only positive is that the communication from the staff has been prompt and courteous.

Very friendly staff and a great experience as finally found coach bus parking her. I'm really happy for it.

An absolutely amazing place to stay. Room was very clean (room had carpets which weren't great but just remember to bring slippers/slides to wear inside), amentities were great, staff were incredibly nice and helpful.

Location is perfect if you're planning a weekend trip to Mt Buller. It's about 40 minutes to the mountain entry gates and a few minutes drive to the local shopping strip (or ~10 minute walk).

Definitely keen to come back again next time!

Great family room setup with high ceilings, washing machine and dish washer.

However my parent's room was just standard but with spa.

Decent sized rooms. Several activities to do on-site. Appliances and room interiors are dated. Noisy at night and in the morning.

Stayed 2 nights (mid March 2022) in room 220. Was unable to sleep due to low pitch hum that went ON and OFF the whole night. Suspect it is caused by the aircon (not our room).
I reported this at checkout and followed up with the manager via email (twice). Have not heard anything back.
Wont be staying here again.
