Alter It Highpoint

Quick and easy service. Got my pants shortened here and the turnaround was quick. Happy with the quality for a simple hem

I was charged $20 for alteration of brand new suit trousers. When I picked them up they were returned to me with no coat hanger no plastic cover not even a bag. The trousers were covered in hair and lint.
It cost me another $30 to have them dry cleaned. Very disappointing.

Sketchy business. Incompetent employees.

Dropped off a pair of $200+ motorcycle gloves for repair, and they absolutely butchered them. They are now unusable.

I asked them to replace the velcro closure on both of the cuffs, so they GLUED a tiny piece of velcro to one side of one glove only, and stitched a new piece of hook sided velcro in the completely wrong place. They will not close anymore.

Asked for a refund on the repair, and the terrible employee first refuses to give me a refund because she can “fix” them, and when I politely decline, she tells me that it is impossible to process a refund. After much insisting, she calls her boss who just straight up refuses any refund - even after admitting fault.

I don’t need two guesses as to why they couldn’t process a simple eftpos refund… (Tax avoidance)

This is not a business to be trusted.

Edit - just received an angry phone call from the indignant, incompetent seamstress that destroyed the gloves. Clearly she is monitoring and concerned about the businesses constant 1 star ratings. She still refused to give a refund. I am content leaving the matter in the hands of Highpoint Management.

Worst customer service. I went there to get my pants altered, and they gave me one price, and I paid for it. The next day, when I came to pick up my pants, they charged me +$ saying that the price they charged me the day before was wrong. This is in so many ways so wrong. Don't recommend this place unless you wanna get extra charges surprises after you hire their service.

Paid for a shirt to get ironed after having a badge put on it. Was charged $5 for it. When I came back to collect it, it was clearly not ironed. I aksed for it to be ironed but the lady said it couldn't be ironed because it was dirty. I told her that I paid for ironing and so she ran the iron over the shirt for 10secs. This is the state of my shirt after using the service today. It you can't do a job, please don't charge.

I have been using the service here for about 10 years, through 3-4 owners. Recently, I had 1 pants need them to redo, when I came back to get the pants, the owner asked me if I paid last time, I said: this is a redo and I paid last time when I picked up already. She kept asking: Are you sure because in the system, it says unpaid. I said: You need to ask the staff who served me last time, I couldn't take the pants out of your shop without pay. She then said: next time, pay upfront because the clients often forgot to pay. I told her that I have never owed anyone anything, don't say that. Later, I showed her the transaction history on my phone that I paid, no apology, I said that, next time, don't tell me that the clients often forgot to pay, you need to train your staff properly to remember to record to the system when the clients paid, don't keep asking the clients like this, then warning the clients like this, very annoyed. She then raised her voice to me and swore to me. Never come back.

Called to check that they could replace the plastic dome on a reusable nappy, was told "yes come in, I fix it". They couldn't tell me where the store was and when I got there after waiting over 15 minutes to be served was told they couldn't do it.

Was happy to help me expand my waistline on a pair of Phatt pants however I had to ask whether they could add material as they initially said no.
Unable to do same day fits so make sure you book in in advance

Had 2 suits altered. They did an incredible job and it a very timely fashion. Will definitely be taking future suits to Alter It highpoint to be tailored.

Today I was quoted $35 to take up hem of a school skirt. $35! Daylight robbery! The skirt cost approx $45. Seriously.

Staff were friendly but it was a little hard to communicate what I needed done to my pants but I chose not to get my pants fixed there as it was a bit to expensive but I was very happy with my experience.

From the experience to the service, Alter It Highpoint is really the gold standard in tailoring. This is one of those services that you just never thought existed. Once you use them, you will never be able to get something tailored elsewhere. Will highly recommend them:)

Long always tailors everything perfectly, super quick and inexpensively. I will continue to come back again and again.

Been coming here at least once a week for over a year, and they are always super friendly and accommodating with my needs. Only once has a mistake been made but they were very quick to fix it free of charge right away. Anytime I need something done urgently, they have always been able to make it work. Would definitely recommend!

Have been going to the Alter-it kiosk infront of Westpac bank in highpoint for approx 1.5 years now. I gave my Hugo Boss suit jacket and pants prior to my wedding for alterations and Long did a fantastic job. I have been going there ever since. Besides doing an amazing job, they are friendly, accomodating and on time. Would highly recommend them.
