I am very happy with the alteration jobs I got done here. Parisa is very creative, friendly and welcoming with a positive can do attitude to address every alteration needs, even the complicated one.

Did a great job at repairing a tear in my new leather jacket at a very reasonable cost. Would definitely use again.

These women are magicians. I have expanded and revitalised my wardrobe by having previously poorly fitting clothes altered. I’ve also had favourite dresses copied. Their work is immaculate and their service impeccable. I recommend them without reservation.

The service is excellent, the craftsmanship is exceptional and the employees in the Hawthorn branch are super lovely. I have had several items altered here, and I highly recommend them - especially if you have an item sitting in your wardrobe that you don't wear for some reason. Get it altered. Wear it and love it like you did when you bought it.

I consistently go to Alter it in Hawthorn for various alterations - the service is always friendly and they're extremely efficient. I have been going there for years and wouldn't go anywhere else. I appreciate that every person there is happy to do what they can, at a reasonable price, and with a smile on their face.

Alter it is the most fabulous place to take anything that needs fixing/altering. They do such high quality work that you can even notice it and in such a quick time period. Would really recommend for any alterations, they can work wonders

Had a zip repaired on some shorts recently and it broke the first time I wore them. When I took them back they told me that they hadn't repaired it, it must have been done somewhere else. Very disappointing to have no accountability.

I have been there for one day as a trainee, they have really really lovely and friendly personality, they helped me to learn new things.

Santha and staff are super friendly and highly skilled tailors, it's our number one go-to place for all our clothes repair and tailoring needs. We've had numerous garments kept in good repair over the years thanks to Alter It Hawthorn: hems, pockets, rips and tears, you name it. I've always found the quality of the work to be very high, and good value for money. Santha once did an amazing job replacing the elastic in a pair of pants with high sentimental value - no small task, and I was very happy with the result. I recommend them very highly: before you throw out a beloved shirt/jumper/pair of trousers, take it to Santha to see if something can be done to rescue it!

The Hawthorn staff are so professional and skilled. I always recommend my friends to take any alterations to this place. My daughter picked up a she had altered today, it was spot on. I know she has also taken items to them previously, where other shops said they could not handle the fabric and declined.whereas the Hawthorn 'Alter It' handles everything put their way. Great work!

Santha and her incredible team at Alter It Hawthorn are truly amazing!

My family and I have been seeing Santha for absolutely all our alteration, tailoring and dress making moments that we've had over the past 8 years and the attention to detail and care that goes into each garment is second to none. From pieces that have been made entirely from scratch to a last minute alteration on short notice, Santha and her team truly never disappoint.

Alter it did a very good job altering my skirt. Although it is a bit expensive, I was very impressed by the alteration and would recommend alter it to others.

Extremely rude staff and completely unrealistic prices. Went in for a simple hem job that was quoted to me as at least $50 per garment (a skirt and jacket). There are a dozen better places in walking distance of this complete rip off store.never going to bother with another alter it store again, just hope the staff at the other stores have some decent manners!

Santha rebuilt my wedding dress turning what could have been a disaster into a beautiful gown that fit like a glove. Her work is impeccable. She also tailored my partners suit which was perfect. I couldn’t recommend the team at Hawthorn more. Santha also fixed a pair of leather pants I had put my knee through that I had almost accepted were beyond repair. There really isn’t anything they can’t do!

If I could leave zero stars I would. Unbelievably expensive but that’s fine I paid thinking I would get expert tailoring, we’ll i got anything but basically did half the job! Avoid at all costs!

They're unbelievably good!

I hemmed 4 jeans, pants, and fixed t shirt stitching. They're pros. I have never loved my jeans more than now, the hem is perfect and break on my shoes beautifully, just perfect.

Enough said!

A little bit pricy but fast and impressive tailoring. The staff were also fashionably experienced and friendly.
