We absolutely LOVE Alma - We've been a few times now and every time the staff is so lovely and warm, the food is amazing as well as the delicious cocktails. One time we arrived quite late without a booking and the team went above and beyond to find us a spot. Nothing was too hard, would 100% recommend, best food in Geelong!

Amazing food, atmosphere and service. We have dined here many times and have also had their takeaway on offer through lockdowns and have never been disappointed. We would definitely recommend dining at Alma if you want the best!

Incredible! The food is amazing, service impeccable. They way they ‘pivoted’ during lockdown was amazing to see. The menu was altered to provide items for takeaway, and the whole family enjoyed so much! Thank you:)

Such amazing food! The chefs have great instincts about pairing flavours, and the result is always delicious and familiar but the tiniest bit subversive - it's a very cool place, a lot cooler than Geelong is used to. I love the street food riffs that echo through the menu, but made luxe by really, really quality ingredients. The atmosphere is really sexy and it is far too easy to drink one, two, three more cocktails than you planned. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and it was impressive to see the way they pivoted so effortlessly throughout lockdowns. Would definitely recommend, and after writing this, I want to come back again!

Alma is one of our all time favourite place in Geelong. Their food never disappoints us. Cocktails and desserts are also amazing. Staff are also very well mannered and friendly and I love the subtle atmosphere, which makes us feel cozy and comfortable to dine-in. I just love everything about this place.

Delicious and affordable meal. We went for the chef's selections which is a three course meal, we were absolutely stuffed by the end of it and the quality of the food was great.

We had a most fabulous lunch yesterday- a set menu (post lockdown) which suited us perfectly and all dishes were terrific. Tasty, amazing value and great service. We will definitely be back.

Extremely disappointed with the booking service at ALMA.

Made a reservation booking over the phone was told they would call me back to confirm the booking for tonight.

Got the call back and confirmation that the booking was good for tonight only to arrive and find that the booking was never made for tonight but for tomorrow night even tho I was extremely clear that it was a booking for this Evening and to be extra sure I said just to confirm again it's for tonight and was told yes it's for tonight at 6pm.

I would not recommend a restaurant that can't get their booking right as it's really not hard to make sure you confirm a booking Correctly.extremely disappointed as we were really looking forward to eat at ALMA.

In their credit the manager did call and apologised for Inconvenience.

Alma is a first-class “Melbourne” dining experience right in the heart of Geelong. The food is perfectly prepared, high quality and ideal for sharing. This is complimented by attentive staff who are not too formal but who care deeply about your dining journey at their restaurant! Thank you for a awesome night out. We will be back.

We as a party of 15 arrived at this restaurant with reservation at about 6: 30 Friday night. The place was fully occupied, but the service was fast and our drinks and food came out quickly. The steaks were perfectly cooked, and some of the other dishes were interesting variations of South American cuisine, which I guess reflected contemporary fusion.

Lovely ambience although somewhat cool when we arrived. Food was good but needed to ask for clean plates in between courses. Service was excellent. Would recommend.

On a family visit to Alma we were delighted with the meal as well as the wonderful wait staff. We had a set menu banquet that was very well priced for the food served. In our group we had a coeliac & a vegan. They were very well accommodated with food that was a delicious as any.

What a fantastic meal. Truly great value for a superb experience. Anything that was cooked on the grill/charred was spectacular. Octopus was best I’ve ever had! Wagyu beef was delicious, beautiful wines at great prices. Cool artwork, great atmosphere, booths are the pick of places to sit. Trust me - if you are in Geelong JUST GO!

Food average at best, however drinks are well made and service of a very good quality. For what the prices are and what the food actually is they are having a giggle they need to pick up their game if they wish to stay competitive in the Geelong food scene.

What a gem of a restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyed my dinner. Only managed to try 4 dishes plus 1 dessert. Must come back to try the rest. Great service too. I also really liked the refillable sparkling water for $4. Wish more restaurants would do that instead of charging exorbitant prices for bottles.
