As soon as I've arrived, I've been pleasantly surprised with how well equipped his studio was and an offer of a drink quickly got chatting about all of the things in this world.

Al is a wonderful listener, which is, I think, one of the most important things for head shot photographer. I often struggle with feeling comfortable on camera and can't decide what face I should make or how to look, but when we began, it was more of a conversation, during which I got to discover some parts of myself, which Al carefully captured just at the right moment.

The biggest take away for me was, that it's not about prefabricating a perfect facial expression, but rather connecting with the truth inside of you and letting it shine through, for that will create a picture that people would connect with.

I'm not sure, if I always maintained that vulnerability, but in the moments that was, Al was quick enough to capture the eluding part of genuine me.

As a young aspiring business professional, I knew the importance of a professional headshot however, I am extremely shy in front of the camera, I find myself feeling quite awkward and uncomfortable. Al established a friendly rapport with our daughter by making her feel at ease and comfortable in the studio. Al engaged with Marissa by taking the time to get to know her personality. Our daughter has had many professional and costly headshots done in the past from talent agents and child photographers, however none of them have come close to producing such beautiful, natural and high quality pics as these.

It was all about the 'experience' for Marissa who is only 11. They played her favourite tunes during the whole shoot, making her feel like a superstar! Al laughed and joked with her, helping to capture those candid/impromptu moments. Marissa was given as much time as needed to shine, enjoy the experience and to feel confident in front of the camera. Marissa loved seeing her photos up on the big screen after each session and choosing her own photos on the day, which is rare! Such a fun and positive experience) Highly recommend.

I Recently had the pleasure of engaging the services of the one and only Al Sali well appointed and named “TheHeadShotGuy” but so much more - let me explain.

From the moment I arrived Al made me feel very comfortable and special, he was instantly engaging and beyond welcoming!

I honestly thought I was just going to have my professional headshots taken and that was it, however was I wrong.

The preparation and care Al took with me from sitting down offering me a drink to helping me understand what a photo can capture, being your personal essence then to portraying the particular emotions and all interesting aspects of your being. The slightest most delicate change in your stance, facial detail in the way you approach and look at a camera can make all the difference, all of this information honestly blew my mind.

When you think about the industry you work in and were trust, honesty, professionalism and confidence is everything. I learnt you cannot underestimate the work, love and passion Al has for his craft and I felt this during every touch point in our meeting, not to mention this started well before I entered his studio via his warm introductory email to well after my shots were perfected and delivered to me.
