Agathé Pâtisserie reviews
65 We tried the Pain Au Chocolate and the Pandan Croissant. Both were so fresh, perfectly flakey on the outside and soft inside.
Admittedly the prices are fairly expensive, at $14.50 for both croissants.
It was our first time, and definitely not our last though. The Lemon Tea cake looked beautiful and will be next to try.
Their pandan croissants are an Instagram darling these days but they actually live up to the hype. The flan is great too.
Beautiful French pastries! Everything is simply delicious. Sometimes there's a line to get some of these bad boys and you can see them prep and make it if you're in line. My favourite to get are the croissants & canale!
LOOK AT THIS STUNNINGMille-feuille
: three layers of delicately thin crispy pastry. In between it has vanilla creme, and a rich, dark pecan praline sauce. It’s as delicious as it sounds
Choux au craquelin whipped cream on top with caramel filling, rich crème brûlée taste bit too sweet but it's very satisfying! !
Pretty good patisserie. Interesting fusion of French pastry and Asian flavours. Gets really busy with long queues, get in early!
Not sure what all the fuss was about. Had the almond croissant, it was soggy, undercooked and tasted like the filling had been near fish.probably won't be back.
The savory pastry I had felt a bit greasy and salty. Nonetheless their almond croissant was exceptionally amazing. I would definitely come again and buy their sweet pastries from this store.
Best croisant I have tasted since I left France!
Taste just like home. And the Madeleine un régal!
Great croissant and pain au chocolate. Both were very buttery and flaky and croissant was still warm. There was a short queue on a Sunday afternoon but it moved quickly. For me it’s better than Lune.
Undoubtedly the BEST croissants in Melbourne! I haven't been to France, but I bet these guys could give the best patisserie in Paris a run for their money.
The pastries here is great. But the service isn’t very consistent. Sometime they are very nice sometimes they are just rushing it which causes mistakes. I went there this Sunday morning and came home realized I have been charged $21 for 2 croissants and 1 cannelé. (should be $11). Of course I’m not gonna go back to get my 10 dollars back. But maybe they can more careful next time (I will be as well). I don’t think I will go back there anytime soon. I would give them 4 stars for the pastries.
Better than what I get in my mother country.queue is short by comparison with top top top bakeries in la belle France. The Portuguese custard tarts and cheesecakes are mouthwateringly good. Everything is made from scratch.even the apples are spun to remove the skin. Perfection.
Very nice pastry.i really like the custard twist, chocolate croissant, pandan flan and apple pie.little pricey but the cost and the long queue is worth the flavor.will definitely come back again and again.
Hands down my fave croissants in Melbourne. I know everyone raves about a certain other crossiant in Melbs (rhymes with dune). But I think Agathé have them beat. From the moment you walk in to South Melbourne Markets you can smell the buttery goodnesss and let me assure you everything is as good as it looks/smells. The dark chocolate sables are wickedly good too.
I originally wants to order matcha croissants but it’s already sold out. (Don’t mixed up with Pandan croissants). Finally, I have had crusted danish bread and Lemon tea cake. The crusted bread is awesome! The insides were soft and buttery without any greasy. Lemon tea cake just so-so.
Don’t waste your time standing in line at Lunes. This is where it’s at! The best croissants in the world is here, New York Times.
Forget Lune Croissant. This is the best croissant in Melbourne. Innovative flavours. Great lamination and not too sweet. And the Canneles are a must. Come early as most of the favourites are sold out by 11am on weekends.
Unfortunately the almond pear and chocolate tart tasted like burnt savory oil, and was a little burnt on the edges.
Also bought a Danish which was ok.
I hate this delicious French bakery so close to home, freshly baking their cakes, croissants and what not. Still warm cause they bake them on site, in front of your eyes. Whatever you do, don’t go and eat a croissant. Then don’t go back to eat the pistachio and cherry pastry. Please don’t go there again and try a cheese cake. You must not eat the matcha triangle, you will hate yourself. Whatever you do DO NOT eat the caramelised round doughnut thing. Don’t do it to yourself man.
Marvellous pastries. A small shop in South Melbourne Market but has many choices of pastries esp croissants
