Afghan Shaheen Restaurant

Easily the best naan in Melbourne. If you know what naan is supposed to taste and feel like, you'll be glad you came in here. The kababs are delicious and fresh and the biryani is also excellent.

I’ve been to this restaurant on a number of occasions and have been very impressed by the food. This restaurant is one of the better eateries in the area that serve Afghan cuisine.

They have the standard shish and shami Kebabs that are very good. My favourite dish however is the Chapli Kebab with Kabuli rice and fresh Afghan bread.

The restaurant is clean and spacious although could do with with a fresh coat of paint. I would certainly be back here again!

Staff is really good specially one lady she is super cute and good in nature.they serve good food in better quality. I enjoyed alot

Great food and also they service was quick. Authentic kebab taste a d the sweets are also good.
Samosa and jalebi was not that fresh.

A quiet place for you to come and have a great tasty meal. After I long time I had a food where I said it tastes so different

They offer very filling and huge naans even the curries are also really tasty and they got huge varieties of sweets in the restaurant

Awesome lamb, chicken skewers and kebab. Chapli kebab is the best. Chana daal is good. Naan are v good size.

Food was delicious, I ordered chicken skew, chapli kebab, daal chana, naan and rice. Food was served in 10 minutes. Girl taking the order and serving was quite polite and active.
Cleanliness in the handwash area and toilet needed some improvement.

Overall value for money. I’ll keep going to this restaurant whenever I pass by sunshine.

Yummiest afghan food 1 can have.love thr chicken skewer to lamb skewer and nt to forgt chappli kabab.

I've ate in many places around the world and I can confidently say this place serves the best food in the world!

Probably the best Afghan Tikka and Kabuli Pulao in the southern hemisphere (Afghanistan is in the northern hemisphere). Some of the curries might not be at par, but the authentic taste of the mixed plate and the chapli kebab covers up for anything the curries lack. Love going there at every opportunity I get.
P. S. If you're a vegetarian, try the Borani Banjan when you go there next. I've converted strict non-veg eaters with this dish.

This was a great place to eat when it first opened.service was excellent food was fantastic ambience was great however recently I have noticed quality has dropped considerably. Tables and chairs are dirty seems like it hasn't been wiped as there is this weird stickyness to it, I sat down at the table received a complimentary glass of water with lipstick marks on my glass, food seems to be rushed out without the quality which it once had. I found the restaurant to be dirty, not a place a would invite my friends or family to enjoy a meal.

Awesome food! Every dish we tried was equally good! Afghan Shaheen is our go to place when ever we want to have sm afghani food! Their lamb, chicken and kabab skewers are mouth watering and so is their Afghani rice. Qorma and noodles are delicious as well.

Speedy service and delicious food. Can thoroughly recommend coming down for a feast and it's not expensive either!

Chicken tikka masala was a stand out.

Seems closer to Punjabi food than Afghan, but it's incredibly good. The butter chicken and aloo gobi are my favourites, and the naan is always beautiful and really big. Delivery is fast and reliable.

COULD NOT FAULT! Fantastic food, great service and super quick. Don't overorder naan, they are huge! Massive dessert selection too. Do yourself a flavour!

Terrible. I asked for no salt or oil. At least 20-30% in dishes. When i complained lady on phone told me I was wrong. Contact Brimbank health and safety officer tomorrow. Even the delivery bag was full of oil

Good place for family dine. Most of the foord items are Kebabs. But there are also few Chinese and some indians items there. There sweets are delicious.

Got the mixed kebab, all the meat was marinated and cooked to perfection. The naan was soft and delicious. Highly recommend!

Not happy! Went out looking to try Afghani cuisine, and landed on this spot as the reviews looked promising. The menu was 90% Indian food and overpriced. The sweets were surprisingly good, I will give them that.
They definitely shouldn't be advertising this as Afghani food with the current menu though.
