Afghan Shaheen Restaurant reviews
63Extremely delicious food. Specially their platter bbq. Chapli kabab was also good. Noodles were amazing we ordered chicken tikka masala flavour noodles, must visit this place. Highly recommended. They have pakistani sweets and biscuits also.
Excellent food reasonable prices ordered 2 portions of everything nice clean environment keep up the good work guys loved the service and food reccomend to everyone who hasnt been here
Absolutely delicious, highly recommended!
I think we've just found our new go-to place to grab a guaranteed, consistent, flavoursome and simply delicious dinner in Sunshine!
It's a great mix of dishes that are available here, Afghani, Pakistani, Indian, overall a great menu with many offerings to satisfy a wide range of tastes.
I've never liked Indian food much and have tended to steer clear of Indian restaurants as I just don't like curries, overpowering spices, nut-flavoured sauces or yoghurty, milky, creamy type sauces. Luckily as this place serves a range of different dishes that aren't just Indian, it is the absolutely PERFECT place to go out to dinner with someone or a group of people where some like Indian and others don't.
Another thing worth mentioning about this place is the great value! All dishes on the menu are very well priced, so you can be sure you'll get delicious food that will satisfy your taste buds, yummy bread that's sure to fill you up and all at very affordable prices. We got 2 main meat-based meals between me and my fiancee, a serving of rice, two servings of bread and she also got a mango lassi, all for under $40!
I ordered the Saag Goat which was just simply delightful! Saag is a spinach-based sauce that just tastes amazing, highly recommended! My fiancee ordered butter chicken and she thoroughly enjoyed the flavour. I gave it a quick try and I didn't mind it too much. It's probably the best butter chicken I've ever tasted, but then again I try to steer clear of it as it's not a flavour I personally enjoy. Though as she loved the taste of it (and she's quite critical when it comes to food), you can be assured that if you're a fan of butter chicken, you'll love it here! The garlic roti bread as also an absolute joy to eat!
Another thing worth mentioning is that their menu had an awesome selection of vegetarian dishes too, so this would be a great restaurant for a group of people where some are vegetarian!
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, it's absolutely beautiful inside! The chairs and tables are just lush and have a very high-quality vibe about them.
Overall, highly highly recommended!
Really disappointing!
First, they told us to move from the table as their was a large group coming and they need to joint the table. Could have communicated properly but they approached rudely.
Second, they made us wait 30 minute on the dot and still no entree or mains arrived in the table.
Will never ever return or recommend.
I feel like they have dropped there level a bit.in the last visit we got a burnt chappali kebab and the waitress there just laughed it off.
We went there yesterday for lunch, while having our we found a small stone in our food and we asked about it to the waitress she start laughing and said why you asking me that I am not working in kitchen, they don’t even know 1% about customer service. She didn’t even apologise for it, I can’t understand why she start laughing. They really need to look after their customer service.
Just tried it on Uber Eats. Absolutely delicious! Lamb kebab with bread & salad, mixed kebab with rice & salad and mantu (dumplings). All superb! Well done.
My favorite place for Afghan kebab in the west! Very fresh bread baked on the spot! Very delicious chicken and lamb, also cooked while you wait!
Absolute worst customer service ive ever seen.rang twice 2 confirm my order.they still got it wrong.spoke over me like i did something wrong and hung up on me not admitting there fault.tried ringing back ten times and keapt hanging up on me.
Good place for family dine. Most of the foord items are Kebabs. But there are also few indo-Chinese and some indian items as well. There sweets are delicious.
Just ordered some food through their own website And bought some sweets.went to pick my food the girls on the front were un -courteous and uninterested and there is no hello or anything of that regard.handed over the food to me without a word (let’s say they might have thought I am an Uber food delivery -regardless). Now, I ordered some sweets in store the girl again packed the sweets took my money and left the sweets at the table without saying a word I waited for a minute and I picked them up got home and wrote this review and decided never to go back there again.btw the food was average at best.don’t bother going there with such a poor business practice.
A small restaurant, totally forgot to take pictures because we were so hungry. Loved it. We ordered Shahi paneer and the lamb.
There were so many sweet dishes to choose from for dessert. Absolutely worth a visit.
OMG, What a great food selections this place has.
Just love the curries and naan bread they have.
Very large sweet section. Whenever we order food from here its always comes with positive vibes. Chef goes in very great details of spices combination.
I Just in love with there naan bread.
Highly recommended.top notch
Love this place. Food is fresh, delicious, well priced and servings are huge. We regularly order takeaway lunches from here, and recently placed a large order with them for a party. The order was ready on time, piping hot and delicious - our guests loved it! Thank you Afghan Shaheen
Our whole family loves this place. Food so tasy and not spicy (a lot of mild Indian curry are extremely spicy). All veggie and chicken dish are good. (We are not a fan of goat.) Food serves very fast. It's the only curry restaurant we go now. Highly recommend it. Only thing we don't like is the indian dessert, too much sugar and overly sweet. Feel like having some insulin afterwards. Lol
Ordered for the first time last night and loved every mouthful. The lamb Saag and eggplant Masala were my favourites and their mantu was the best I've had in the area. I'm not usually keen on lamb dishes, but the meat was tender and tasty and fell apart on my fork - delicious!
Also, the bread! It was delicious and HUGE! We weren't expecting it to be so big and our family usually goes through 3 serves of bread, but we only needed one serve for dinner last night. Not complaining, as now I have lots of delicious left over bread.
Will most certainly be ordering from here again.
I Ordered a takeaway Chicken Kadaiiii and all I got was a good size container full of capsicums onions not very less chicken
Amazing food and especiall breads are best and they always sale you bread only, which others are not doing.
It's an Afghan restaurant, but taste is not authentic. Seating arrangement and tables are not in great condition and shape. Same can be said about the ambiance of the restaurant. Food is not too bad and not good either. Won't recommend it as a authentic Afghan restaurant.
Wow. Amazing food. I like all the food. Goat, the yummmy rice with sultana, bread. Huge servings. So if you are hungry, your tummy will be happy.
