Afghan Rahimi Restaurant reviews
65Served only 1 chutney for 4 mix kebabs and said that is their serving the bread was a few days old and smelt was toasted and served, the kebab was 1 out of 10 extremely dry with no flavour, didn’t even serve table water and prices are of a 5 star restaurant who pay $40 for a mix plate of 3 skewer?
The hospitality was superb! We were looked after with great professionalism.
Food was delicious and served with personal touch. I definitely recommend this place and will surely go back again with more friends and families.
I dined here last night, the food was nice and above average, the service well that's another story. We a group of 5 ordered banquet B. Most the food was all dumped on the table at once and I mean dumped, no interaction, not even a smile from the staff. After eating we noticed that the fish dish never made it to the table, we had to ask where it was. After waiting 30 minutes for dessert we had to ask where that was. The table next to us sat uncleared for most the night, when our table was cleared to make way for dessert it was pleasantly dumped on the table that wasn't cleared. Overall all food was good, lamb kebabs where over cooked and dry, one tiny bowl of salad for five people is no where enough. I don't think I will return, there are alot more Afghan restaurants in Dandenong to try before I return. Just disappointed as I heard great reviews on this place. Maybe I just caught them on a bad night. It was about 40% full.
Thank you for the delicious, authentic, Afghan food.
It was such a great experience, we look forward to coming back again.
It is a great place for Afghan food where the food is great with great services. The staffs are friendly and I really love their dessert.
Their chicken and lamb kebab is amazing with the sauce and yoghurt.
Kabuli pallow is yummy! Chicken karie is delicious! Nice and tasty food! Good ambience as well!
First time at this restaurant and was not disappointed at all. The unique and amazing design of the restaurant lived up to the food itself. Started off with bread and dip tasted like the bread I have back in my home country, deja vu. Main courses were brought out; rice with sliced carrots and sultanas with a meatball gravy. Then came the kebabs which tasted amazing. Overall the restaurant was beautiful and the staff were warm and delightful to talk to. Definitely will be back!

Always a delight, never fails - just point me in the direction of the mantu (traditional steamed spiced mince dumplings) Do yourself a favour and try this place. The owner & staff are unfailingly friendly & warm and so is the food!
Afghan Rahimi Restaurant was a pleasure to visit and eat at.
Service was excellent and the food came out very quickly. The banquet deal was a perfect size for a family of 4 and was outstanding in taste and quality.
Would highly recommend to anyone!
I organised a family dinner here for 10 people we ordered a banquet for 10 and they bought out 2 little bowls of salad and 2 little dips next to each salad when we asked is this per person they became very rude and said no each bowl is for 5 people seriously lucky if each person could get a piece of cucumber and tomato each.
Very rude considering we paid about $400 and where treated like absolute garbage first and last time eating here you guys are a joke.
This was our first time trying real Afghan food and this place really lived up to expectations. There is a reason for all the good reviews this place gets. The food is unreal, perfectly cooked and full of flavour. You get plenty of food if you order any of their banquets for 2 people.
I heard of this place from my colleague and on Christmas Day, I went with my family for lunch and we couldn't be happier with food choices. We got the 2nd option of banquet, The food was delicious and very Authentic. Afghan Rahimi restaurant is One of The best Afghan restaurant in Melbourne. The restaurant is very classy, the staffs are very professional.
Being an Afghan it's hard to have get a tridtional food in restaurants however this place does not disappoint. Obviously I will back again and again knowing I will get the best traditional Afghan food.
The decor was lovely, the food was beautifully prepared, and the service was super helpful without being imposing
Definitely recommend!
This restaurant made me a dumpling that changed my life. It was so delicious I wanted to cry. The banquet was beautiful and we loved the service. They also catered to vegan + vegetarian needs. Will definitely be going again!
I went to this restaurant because my wife wanted to try them out because all her friends were telling her to go here, i went with my wife and kids and my god i was amazed, i've never had traditional afghan food before and this place made me want more, especially the customer service. Customer service was outstanding, i can't remember the name of who served me but all i know distinctively is she was wearing makeup and she had dark hair i think, she was so nice to us i felt like at home. 100% coming back here and to those who are curious to try, its a must.
The environment was reminding of their culture
The staff was really friendly and for water they wouldn't wait for you to ask for an other bottle, they've already replaced the full.
The food was delicious
This restaurant had beautiful customer service, the girl serving me had black hair and beautiful make up and she was very friendly and welcoming made me feel like at home, the food was excellent aswell so i had to leave a tip. I recommend this store!
One of my favourite restaurants in Melbourne! Have visited here countless times and am always bringing new friends to try Rahimi. Have celebrated many anniversaries and birthdays here. Any excuse to visit
Do yourself a favour and get one of the banquets, the mantu (Afghan dumpling) and eggplant is the best I've ever had! The skewers are so tender, the rice, dip and bread so fresh. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!
The staff are always lovely and the interior is quite lovely and fancy!
My new favourite restaurant in Dandenong, eggplants, mantu so yummy and great customer service
