Appalling.

After two years of ‘covid delays’ the handover of an investment property I purchased with Accrue was absolutely appalling.

They completed over a year later than expected.

Accrue gave us the wrong information on the handover process. We arrived after a 2 hour drive to discover we needed to go get the keys from the builder in Richmond - even though we called them to say we were on our way and they confirmed we needed to meet the builders at the property.

Don't expect champagne upon arrival either, and brace yourself for a dirty surprise by the builders.

Upon inspecting the property we found the landscaping was also incomplete. The delay was another 2 months.

Everything was done pretty scrappy. We only had one down light per bedroom, cheap seeded lawn which currently looks like mud and there were already weeds upon handover.

There was only concrete in the driveway, the front of the house looked like a dump with ants already in the backyard. When we asked to have that sorted the developers said it wasn’t part of the “package” as they only take care of termites and not ants.

Overall, not exactly turnkey but a profitable investment property.

We have purchased 2 properties through Accrue. We never would have done this prior to hearing about Accrue. They listened to us and understood what we wanted in an investment property. Always friendly and easy to deal with.

We first connected with the Accrue team in 2020 right when the first COVID lockdown was just starting to relax. We met and arranged for our SMSF to be created to purchase a property then we also arranged for a personal investment property too, all done online and electronically. We have now had both properties for a while and recently had our annual review to check in on their progress. We were pleasantly surprised to see both properties are doing well and the finance team are looking into loan options considering the current interest rate movements

Be VERY wary of purchasing from this company. The developers and builders they work with are some of the worst people. Lawyers bullied me to settle before all works were complete and promised resolution.once settled they were impossible to get ahold of and would no longer communicate.additionally the contract is EXTREMELY misleading by inflatin area size by including entry stairways and car parks as internal space. Even worse, the price they convinced me was appropriate was appalingly High. I have certainly learned my lesson after getting robbed by them, i hope you do not make the same mistake.

This could work for some people but.
The great work from initial interviews was all undone when. They don't accept the answer is NO.
Stand over sales techniques.
And to top it off with a sarcastic to personal insult Inregards to the reason for my decision.

**Beware**
We purchased a townhouse in 2017 via Accrue. At the time, we were aware the build quality was just not there. After getting more familiar with the market we also came to the realisation that we definitely overpaid. As a buyers agent, I am not sure who Accrue is working for, as they have not served us well. Years later, even though the market has peaked, we have sold our property for a loss. Also, their service was really good prior to the purchase of the property, but we had some issues later down the track. I will never use their service again and definitely do not recommend to others.

I've been a member of Accrue for over a year and my experience has been outstanding. Jordan helped me find a new townhouse with an existing tennant, secure a low rate interest only home loan, and worked with first class conveyancing solicitors who made the settlement process easy. After one year the townhouse generates a positive cash flow and has seen a 15% increase in capital value. I will continue to use Accrue to build my property portfolio because they are experts in their field and deliver results.

Get access to really great research that has allowed my family and I to build towards our financial goals through property. The research is quite thorough and the yearly reviews help to give perpective to our portfolio and how we are tracking. The process of getting properties is greatly simplified and a lot less stressful. It was quite amazing how much we could achieve with a little bit of advice and direction.

Note for the initial membership fee to pay off you probably need to go through about 2 to 3 properties. Although for me the membership fee made me feel accountable as well.

Our annual review was thoroughly informative with positive advice about our working investments. Both Darren and Barry were very helpful in guiding our future.
