Very poor quality institution with disinterested and poorly trained instructors, bare minimum in the way of facilities and tools, and an unwelcoming environment. Would strongly recommend against.

AIE provide great education, with excellent passionate teachers capable of teaching you all you'd want to, and need to know.
What you get out of this course is down to you, no better place to be educated! Ty

Great institution, fantastic teachers and an excellent environment to skill up. Most important thing is to be realistic with what you want out of this course and to have a goal in mind when it comes to employment. It's very expensive so think twice if you just want somewhere to socialise and play games.

AIE has just been the best experience. I enrolled in 2016 and graduated in 2019, the teachers, staff and students were supportive every step of the way, exceeding my expectations. I couldn’t have asked for a better institute to complete my study of Game Design. Absolutely recommend for anyone looking for a creative, passionate and realistically catered entry to the Games industry.

AIE was the first University I went to, to become a game artist. I’m so thankful for all the teachers that taught me so much about the industry. Other schools just ain’t serious enough about their teaching and the days of essays are over. It’s purely about work and what needs to be done. This is a serious school for serious people. Best teachers out there by far are at this Campus!

AIE is a great school for anyone who wants to learn. The teachers are very interactive, the material is mostly practical. The main thing is you get what you put in.

Brendan was an amazing teacher who helped encourage me and guide me to develop essential skills to be successful in the industry. Without him and the things I learned at AIE I wouldn't be where I am today.

Academy of Interactive Entertainment is a great place to study if you're interested in game or film production. I'm student studying game art and this place is amazing with a great community, I've made friends who has similar interest and goals and the teachers here are friendly and always there to help. The teachers also have industry experience and connections therefore they can help students to be prepared and set up opportunities after being graduated. I highly recommend students to study here if they have a passion for making games or visual effects.

AIE can be a great place. An insitute where you can find like - minded individuals who share similar goals and enthusiasm as yourself. That being said, do not expect that you will get an industry job or create fort-elders-theft-scroll-craft-online after studying here. You will get out exactly what you put in and AIE will support your success in all ways if you're passionate, opening many doors.

Pros:

- Moderate-to-high skilled teachers with games or related experience.
- Network with students and low-mid tier industry folk
- Hands-on practical group projects creating full fledged indie games.
- Most teachers are passionate and extremely helpful to those that work hard and/or need it.

Cons:

- Poor baseline learning due to low and out-of-touch government standards.
- Poor internal management and hands-on-support for students. (Not including teachers)
- Very hard to fail, causing low peer standard.

Went to Aie in 2015 and did a diploma in game art and animation, had a awesome time. Great teachers, relaxed atmosphere and super convenient location. Considering going back and doing their programming course.

Great content, great teachers, great atmosphere. I absolutely loved my time in the Adv. Diploma of Screen and Media. I learnt so much about the industry, and how to be a better artist, from people who are active in the industry itself. 10/10 recommend. It's one of the best VFX and Games college's out there

Aie is probably the best university you can go to learn how to make games. The staff go above and beyond to help you learn everything you need to know before entering the game industry so long as your willing to put in the effort. This place is one of the best gateways into the game industry I can think of, it helped me personally to get a job in the industry 10/10 would 100% recommend.

For the most part, pretty fantastic. Had a great experience with my first year (studying Game Design), and I'm pretty excited to start my second year. Would highly recommend to anyone looking into studying game development.

Academy of Interactive Entertainment is an amazing school to attend. The teachers are some of the best around, and you are exposed to many of the development studios in the area, both game and film. It is a very supportive environment even long after graduation.

An outstanding university, where you learn priceless skills and make life time friends. Wouldn’t be where I am today without AIE.

Was in the Screen and Media course, had the most helpful and friendly teachers I've ever had. The curriculum was up to date unlike other tertiary schools. I would definitely recommend it! P. S. Thanks Heath, Tonko Chris for all your help, especially with our short film project dealing with a furry rabbit.
