Acacia Caravan Park

Stayed for work in a cabin. Very quiet caravan park save for the occasional train going past. Staff were very friendly. The cabin was perfect with good cooking facilities. Better than a motel room for the same price, if not cheaper. The room had beds for 2 adults and 4 kids, only 1 bathroom though. Only about 1km walk to main street, supermarket closer than that. I would stay here again.

Kaylene was so welcoming and helped us with local knowledge of things to do. Escorted us to our site. Dog friendly fenced site was great for our travelling border collie. Everything very clean and tidy, very well looked after.
Road noise and trains were a bit loud during the night

This is one of the best parks we have experienced, and we travel 7 months per year.
A first is that they have special sites fenced off for folks with dogs - just brilliant.
A must stop for anyone passing through.

Only interested in ripping off tourists. Not interested in helping the homeless. Disgusting and very unaustralian.

Great owners and staff. Arlo the Australian Terrier loved his yard and made some new friends.

Matt and Kathleen have a gem of a caravan park here. They both welcomed us then guided us into the site (marriage saver). Very well maintained park with lots of nice little personal touches throughout. Dog friendly, close to town. We had a powered site next to the pool and amenities with a mix of grass and gravel with all services close by so we only needed a short lead and hose. 5 stars - we'll be back.

Matt and Kaylene hosted us with love, care and that extra bit of tenderness. Thanks guys the kids loved every bit of their stay.

Possibly the cleanest park we have stayed in. They even supply bath mats for your shower. Very friendly and helpful hosts.

Cabin was very well appointed and the park spotlessly clean. Good location close to town and the beautiful Alexandra Gardens Park.
Amenities such as the kitchen for campers are a positive. Hosts and staff were very friendly. Would happily stay here again en route to Melbourne.

BOOKED A ROOM BY PHONE AND WAS NOT ADVISED OF SEVEN DAY CANCELLATION POLICY UNTIL I TRIED TO CANCEL FOUR HOURS LATER AND HAD ALREADY PAID. Sought refund within hours of booking, having realised I would have to drive on wildlife infested roads at night at great personal risk to myself and my son, and was denied. They offered a credit instead which I refused.

Told them I would leave a review and they said they could reply. I reminded them I was not the one who withheld the cancellation policy details at the time of booking, and after I had paid.

I was charged for a night's accommodation for absolutely nothing.

Nice quiet park till the freight train comes through if had know it comes through at whenever would not have been worried

Just had a brief stay on our way to Adelaide. We were very impressed. There are so many positives. Between being led to our site (great for us caravanning noobs), a roaring fire pit, linen bath mats and a dog wash station, you can't go wrong. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

We stayed at Acacia Caravan Park for 6 nights.
Kaylene and Matt made us feel very welcome and were so helpful.
The amenities were really good, l loved that they have bath mats!
Would thoroughly recommend this park and we will stay at the park the next time we are in the area.

My wife and I visited the park recently with friends. We had adjacent powered sites which were large and grassy. The park is great, the facilities are spotlessly clean and we have never seen a better stocked camp kitchen anywhere on our travels. The pool was a welcome relief on a very hot day. The owner, Kaylene, who served us at reception, was lovely. We even needed a needle and thread for an emergency repair at one point, and she supplied it with a smile.
We will definitely be back!

Great caravan park. Kaylene and Matt are excellent hosts who care about their park and their customers. Fantastic dog/chid enclosures available for slight extra cost but well worth it to keep all safe inc van. Very local to attractions and shopping. Good clean amenities with hot showers, solar heated pool to cool off, playground and generous sized level sites wth power and water. Also cabins available plus good camp kitchen with coffee machine ($2). Can get a bit noisy at night, road/rail but manageable, the plusses here outweigh this. Will have no hesitation recommendation to friends and will definitely be back again. Thanks guys had a great time. Cheers

Absolutely brilliant park, staff are absolutely lovely, even personal walked to our site to assist in backing in! Amenities are super clean even provide towels for the showers! Owners knew all activities to do in Ararat and explained them all to us! Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to stay here!

This park is incredible. The owners Matt and Kaylene welcome you with a smile and are friendly and helpful. They have thought of every little detail and they care the put into running the park shows. The facilities are spotless, with small details that I haven’t seen anywhere before like clean bath mats for the showers which are restocked daily. We stayed in a fenced site which was perfect for our dogs to have freedom. The pool is well cared for and they even have a little ‘shop’ at reception to grab those small things you would have to go into town for. We have already booked to stay again as we checked out. 10/10

What an awesome caravan park. The staff are so friendly and Matt and Kaylene are so welcoming you feel like you have come home. I was lucky enough to have a fenced pet site and honestly it was so good. Not sure if my dogs or myself were the happiest. I would definitely recommend a stay here when you are in Ararat.
