Absolute Lakes Entrance Motel reviews
47It's a decent short stay motel. However, the tv only has radio, no tv channels & there's Wi-Fi but it has no internet connection.
Perched on top of the hill at Kalimna overlooking a spectacular view of Lakes Entrance and surrounding waters, is a hidden gem of a motel. Sure, it is old - I first stayed there on my honeymoon 47 years ago, when it was a Best Western and the only one its kind at that time with the fabulous view and a lookout right across its own car park (which has since been upgraded). Now its restaurant, which once served great breakfasts and evening meals, has been closed because of Covid and not being near the centre of town. The 'new' owners (took over around 3 to 4 years ago) are friendly, remember your name from previous stays and extend repeat visitor rates you can't get anywhere in Lakes itself - nor can you get the view. The units have been well renovated and are appointed with their own mini kitchen, bathroom and separate toilet, and now have great beds, reverse cycle air con, flat screen tv, free wifi and plenty of space to sit your bags for easy unpacking-packing, and a decent size wardrobe with extra pillows, blankets etc. All very comfortable with everything you need, clean, lovely hosts, the best views around Lakes Entrance and the best value for money to boot.
Quite a nice room, awesome outlook. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. I stayed at room 33 and had no road noise from the main road at all. Bathroom really small and rather dark. Price was quite reasonable. Aircon was quiet and more than adequate in summer. I would happily stay there again.
We stayed on NYE so I think we had a completely different price to normal. At $350 a night this particular motel was overpriced. But I believe the normal prices are not like that and so our experience might be unique. Could definitely do with a renovation, but a great sized family room, with two rooms for sleeping in. View is lovely, location is close enough to town without being too busy, and newly renovated pub down the road was fantastic.
Nice clean rooms enough room for the family. Great spot over looking the lake and beach as well just up the road from an awesome pub.
Friendly customer service going above and beyond especially for a late arrival on New Yeats eve.
Clean rooms and a beautiful view. Friendly staff. Best to hot spot off your phone as their wi fi is agonisingly slow.
