Absolute Lakes Entrance Motel

The receptionist's attitude was extremely rude, attempting to prove to me that there was no issue with the room with an interrogation-like approach, reminiscent of a police questioning a suspect.

The room had an unpleasant odor, resembling a musty smell caused by prolonged lack of sunlight. I tried to suggest they spray some air freshener or provide a different room, but the front desk insisted that they couldn't smell anything, and everything was fine.

The room was not well-maintained, with hygiene issues such as stains on the bed sheets. The faucet had problems and was very difficult to use. The carpet was dirty and wrinkled. The sockets were very old, posing a fire hazard. The water temperature was unstable, fluctuating between cold and hot. The hairdryer was both old and worn out. Additionally, one of the bedside lamps was also not working.

My family and I booked this motel and it was great, we were running a few minutes late, and they waited for us to come in and asked if we were okay. The rooms were spotless and very organised, and also the view was amazing, the location of the motel was also such a great spot. The staff were very kind and helpful.
Definitely coming again.

I visited this place with family but very bad experience staying there, Not recommended at all, no ocean view, please do not stay here unless you want to ruin your trip, faulty appliances extremely rude owner, very bad customer service.when we complained about the appliances after spending night there so that others do not face that uncomfortable noise, owner was so rude and not willing to take feedback. Please get those appliances fixed so other visitors can spend night there comfortably.

Lovely motel. Nice and clean rooms. Very friendly staff and reception, and a beautiful location overlooking the Gippsland Lakes and Ocean, what more could you ask for?

I wouldn’t recommend this Motel. Smelly room, worst customer service, old style sink taps were not working, Noisy fridge. Rude, racist, mannerless and illiterate owner. The way he talks clearly shows that he has never been to school even.

Rude and racist reception. I was there with my family. At 3am the light is not working. We did call them and he was really rude. No sorry or anythings to us.but he provoke my husband. Will never come again, there have more motel there but not ocean view motel anymore

Clean, clean, clean, tidy. Room, linen, towels, toilet and bathroom. Well done to the team.

Stayed 2 nights. No complains; Very fair for the price you pay. Enjoyed the pool. Convenient location.

This is an excellent motel in lakes entrance located about 2.5 km from the city centre & the beautiful esplanade etc.

We stayed here for 2 nights just recently. The room was spacious, clean, tidy and comfortable. A fridge, microwave and necessary cutleries etc were included. There was good hot water supply and good A/c.

There were two skylights inside the bathroom/mini-kitchen area which made it very bright & lively.

There's a lookout/observation area within the premises which provides perhaps the best, most stunning views of lakes entrance.

I would also like to thank Andrew who I only spoke to over the phone, but he was great in organising the modifications of my arrival date.

Side note: And this is not a Whinge or negatives, but areas for improvements:

1. No Chairs/furnitures were provided for sitting inside or outside our room (no 27).
2. The exhaust fan inside the shower did not work (may cause moulding).
3. There was no shower curtain in the shower (which was of course provided upon request).

Overall, this is an excellent place to stay in Lakes entrance.

Very comfortable stay with friendly staff.
Beautiful view and a peaceful vacation we had.
Recommended for an affordable stay with perfect amenities.

This motel's not bad. Good value. Just no WiFi (not good for international tourists who need internet), no cooking, and no crabbing. Good things were great location, nice lookout, big parking lots, hot water, big screen TV, and clean room. In the end, you can still enjoy your visit though.

Very very old designed motel- with shower room with plastic cloth curtain, hot cold water separate controllers with old type telephone shower, no bath mates so water goes straight to toilet floor. Also very low height wash basin with hot cold water separate controllers.
No room services provided-during the phone conversation replied that room service will be done between 10am and 2pm. But not done at all.
Is $345 per night a cheaper accommodation for 4 people? Spent 2 nights means $690. Definitely not cheaper! For the money they charge it is horrible. No room service was provided. What type of motel doesn't give you room service? We called in the morning around 9am and requested room service. We were advised that it will be done between 10am and 2pm but clearly no one came. The owner in the reply of this review claims that we told the cleaner to go away but we weren't even in the motel. We left the room early in the morning and came back at 10pm to find ourselves with a room with dirty towels and bedsheets. They only gave us one toilet roll between 4 people to use throughout a two night stay.
No reply on motel’s after hours mobile number as well as no reply of 10 seconds converted texts (multiple). The owner of the motel answered the call at 10pm and hung up on me after 10 seconds. Not willing to listen to us and absolutely zero effort to solve our issue. No callbacks.
They claim that there is free wifi but it doesn't connect. It says move closer and try again.
I think giving this motel a 1 star is too much. Horrible service. The owner doesn't know how to keep a customer and solve their issues.
In short if you want value for your money then please do not book your accommodation here!
Just dropped off the key of the motel room on Friday, 06/01/2023 morning.
The owner has replied to my review but i am editing it after to prove my point better. WE wen't even home so how were we going to tell the cleaners to go away. LIARS. The owner knows he is making stories. Let's face it the motel is trash and considering the service provided thats too good to say.

I was so tired when I arrived to a lovely clean & spacious room with an amazing shower, lovely staff and great price, not to mention the view! Definitely staying here again!

Left the key and room warmed up for my late arrival. Good price and great view. The only thing to note is no Wifi. Would come again.

I booked the motel using non-refundable policy, but can't make it from Sydney since my son in a training on his first job just about a week before the check in date. The admin Philip was so helpful and understanding, guided me through to cancel the booking without charging me. I was so relieved and thank you for the kind understanding and support, will book it when we travel in the future!

Great little motel, just what we needed after a long drive with clean and cozy rooms. Big thanks to the owner Phil, my partner and I are heading up the east coast and he took the time to show us where some really nice places to stay are up the coast. Overall great motel, and super nice owner, cheers Phil!

Excellent value for money, cheapest place in town. Very large rooms (a little dated) fantastic base to explore the beautiful lakes from. Thank you Phillip for you kindness and service throughout our stay.

Great location, but rooms are very old and outdated…. Rooms have a certain smell, maybe they could use an air freshener in the room? Great lookout across from the motel.
