Abbiocco reviews
50First visit for me with repeat customer. 3 of us shared 3 antipasto, a pasta and a dessert. Service was great. Not many restaurants in Melbourne where they changed plates between entree and main without asking. All dish were delicious and clean. The pasta was pretty al dente which I enjoyed but some people might find very hard. I will definitely come back to try other dishes.
Amazing food! Gorgonzola ravioli was the highlight plus service was exceptional and perfect wine recommendations! Breath of fresh air being served with such care and attention to details.
All the pasta's were very good! Especially the mafaldine with prawns and pistachio. Will definitely be back to try more pasta options!
Nothing stood out with the entrees, can be skipped.
Bellini was mostly prosecco - would not order next time.
No mention of card surcharge on menu (besides Sunday and public holiday surcharge) or at payment, only saw it after transaction has gone through.
Italiano at its best. 5 star everything.
Staff and service - either partners in business or hospitality pros, great peeps, informed and welcoming.
Food- farK a duck. Incredible. Toughest decision of each course was what flavour would I like to finish on.
Blah blah the rest. Well worth the price. ExcellentO if that is an Italian word
Easy efficient booking, friendly staff, clean ambience. Located right by the highest train station - so easy to access. Lovely to have the definitions of Italian words used in the menu (quite fun learning) The Cerignola olives were on steroids (and delicious) and ciabatta delicious, the Tagliatelle and wagyu bolognese delicious but we should have ordered 2 per person, Casarecce prawns and pistachio interesting taste. Overall a bit over priced (chips in small bowel $12)
Tasty food and lovely service. Great cocktails including the dolce vita. Really enjoyed the pasta and the broccoli side dish.
First visit to Abbiocco, the venue itself is deceiving, looks small but opens up at the back, not huge but nice size. Service was excellent, very attentive. The menu isn’t extensive but that’s not a bad thing. We ordered appetisers and mains and were full. The food was fresh and very tasty. Would highly recommend Abbiocco.
This place serves nice meals. My only complaint would be that the pasta was not cooked enough for my liking. Next time I go, I’ll know to ask them to cook the pasta a little longer.
5 stars are not enough for this place. Everything we ate was exploding with amazing flavours and the service was exceptional too!
The food was fabulous. The service and staff were amazing. It’s another new haunt. Will be back!
Had read the reviews and thought must go. Finally for a leisurely Sunday lunch, 5 of us went. To start we shared olives and ciabatta, roasted tomato arancini and prosciutto with gnocco fritto. All vegetarian items delicious! Drinks Prosecco, Dolcetto, Coke, Lemonade and Chinotto. For mains I had campanelle pasta with eggplant, husband had tagliatelle wagyu bolognese, the others had beetroot agnolotti, candele pasta with pork and another bolognese. We also shared sides of fries, charred cos with buttermilk and cauliflower with hazelnuts. Then husband had 3 cheese selection and one guest had peach crosata. And we had coffees (decaf soy lattes, flat whites and lattes). So between us we certainly tried a lot of the menu! The food was superb and would highly recommend. Abbiocco is right next to Highett train station and there is also seating out the back. Our waitperson Alex was excellent. Thanks Alex! Total approx $525.
Everything was stress free; from online booking, service (courteous and personalised), food quality (handmade pasta) and calm atmosphere (intimate-not loud). A cosy corner restaurant next to the train station.would definitely come back.
Frustrated having just realised that this little Italian gem has been on our doorstep for two years.
The table service was fantastic, fast and met with smiles and humour.
The vibe was great and the food excellent!
We had a couple of mains, a starter and desert, a bottle of Prosecco and two cocktails. The entire experience was flawless. Bravo…. We highly recommend Abbiocco!
Their menu is very delicious, however I wish there wasn’t a set menu for a party for more than 8. Other than that the venue is great and staff are friendly!
Amazon service and each dish was perfectly delicious - not a big menu but perfect variety.
Wine was BEAUTIFUL. Highly recommend
Lovely local, doing great Italian with a modern twist. Interesting ingredients tied with traditional dishes. Nice wine and really nice cocktails and the best service I've experienced in a while.
Amazing freshly made pasta, each dish was just perfection. Only downside was the outdoor dining was a bit draughty for a spring evening.
Absolutely love this place! Their handmade pasta is the best I've ever had, and I love that they often change up the menu so there's always something new to try. Great vibes, and excellent service!
Delicious antipasti dishes and pasta with staff that can match the perfect wine. Love the seasonal menu.
Amazing little Italian place, love the use of native ingredients to compliment the Italian menu.will be back!
