I just recently purchased an old brick home which I noticed the levels were uneven in certain areas in the home so I decided to get a professional out to assess the site. Charles was fantastic and extremely knowledgable. He was honest and genuine with the issues that were associated with the levels. He wasn't out there to get me for my money and was upfront with what he could do. It is hard to come by companies with this level of customer service these days. We used Charles from A-Tech Home Improvements to restump our 1920 Californian bungalow on wet soils in Hughesdale.
Charles and his team were incredible, extremely professional, taking the time to explain the process of restumping and any associated complications of the block and its soils.
He identified the soil moisture issue we experienced up front during inspection, providing us with a plan of how his team would monitor and undertake the works once suitable to do so, in the end using a formatube to assist with a solid concrete foundation.
Charles and Ben were very easy to deal with, completed the work to an extremely high level of detail and accuracy, making sure that the house was beautifully level and all under floor timbers were assessed thoroughly, with any replacement works completed in a timely manner.

I would like to recommend Charles and his team, who completed restumpting my house very professionally. Our house is an old house built in 1960. The bathroom floor was sinking badly. Now the problem has been completely solved. Charles gave a very clear, reasonable quote and explained all the questions we asked. After doing some research on options to eliminate squeaky floor in my unit, i subsequently engaged Charles to handle the task. Had wood subfloor leveling issues which were preventing me from laying down floating floorboards. A number of quotes were provided without doing a thorough assessment which gave me concern given they could affect the structural integrity of my house. Charles was realistic and upfront which gave me more comfort about what was actually achievable. In the end, I didnt up going with the jack and pack but Charles's assessment was worth every dollar in terms of saving me going down a wrong path.
