One of my favourite restaurants. Staff are lovely and the atmosphere is always warm and inviting. Their salt and pepper calamari is the best calamari I’ve had in Melbourne. Always cooked to perfection and the salt and pepper crumb is light and delicious!

Dropped in for lunch. It was very crowded and very, very noisy. We waited almost 15 to be served as it seemed only 1 young lady was attending a large number of tables. Food arrived promptly, but we were underwhelmed. For the cost involved, it was disappointing. Staff were friendly. Next time, I'd only grab takeaway coffee and a cake from their incredible selection.

We celebrated my daughters birthday in the cosy little courtyard today. It was the perfect setting, the food was super tasty and the wonderful staff made sure we were all looked after - not easy with 19 kids! Thank you for a great lunch!

I have been coming to this café almost daily for over 1 year now. I have tried many cafe's around Melbourne/Vic, and this is by far in the top 3.i will always find time to come in for an amazing coffee and lovely chat.
Great people, Very nice food and the coffee is always made with high standards and passion.

I’m a regular customer and they till stuff up my order - I rang to tell them when I got home and all they can say was that there was no manager around so can’t go anything about it! Unbelievable since they aren’t a cheap place and didn’t even offer a credit for next time! This was on my lunch break and had to wait for 30 mins as it was just to get it so I couldn’t even go back to get it remade.

Extremely rude behaviour by the staff, especially the bloke taking orders today. He needs to understand that the same item can be called differently at different outlets, your being the least popular.

The customer should be given due respect rather than belittling in front of others. Shame on you.

Wanted to try this place out because it always seems to be packed, however, the coffee was pretty average and the chilli hombre was not at all worth the money. The hangover roll was decent, just a little dry.

Perfect hot chocolate, yummy selection of cakes to choose from and essential part of Mt Waverley as a go to, pre or post Waverley cinema.
More suburbs need you!

Had lunch here with some friends before seeing a movie. Lovely meals, but I find it was quiet noisy and felt bit squashed with other tables/chairs being close and not able to move around as freely.

I come here almost daily jus for a coffee. Wether im working in the south, west or south east, i make a detour. Lovely staff, treat you like family.

Very good coffee and sweet morsels to eat in or go.

Sit down and eat great light menus.
Great venue.
Great friendly staff.
Lots of easy parking.

Today a large group of us came in to celebrate a Baby Shower for brunch. The staff at Cafe 57 were next level amazing! A seperate area for us, all orders of coffee and food were perfect! The atmosphere was excellent. The coffee was hot, fresh and delicious! The food catered to each persons personal needs including dietary requirements.
This was one of the best Melbourne Breakfast Experiences I have had in a long time, I will be recommending to all my family and friends!

Went for a few drinks on a Friday afternoon around 5pm. This is a cafe bar and serves drinks, cocktails, snacks, lunch and dinner. It is located in Pinewood Shopping Centre in Mount Waverley, Melbourne, Victoria and is open for lunch and dinner. Parking was easy to find with off street parking in the shopping strip. There are quite a few other restaurants in the vicinity such as pizza, Indian, Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese, kebabs, Subway etc and even a great ice cream parlour and a community cinema where you can see movies for a very, very good price. The service in Cafe 57 was good and tables were quickly filled. We were greeted at the entrance and seated quickly. The place was clean and well lit. We had cocktails and dips. The cocktails were ok though the amount of alcohol in them compared to other places I have been seemed to be pretty low. Dips and bread were reasonable in quality though the amount of dips was quite small. One good thing is the dessert array, which looked amazing. There is a large variety of sweets which all looked very appetising. In summary, a well presented place which has been around for a few years, which serves good food, has good service, all for a reasonable price. Definitely worth a visit.

A nice atmosphere and great customer service made us feel warm and welcoming. The prawn linguini was delicious, I particularly liked the flavour of the chilli flakes in this dish.

Best service in Mount Waverley. The food was delicious too. We had a good night great atmosphere.

Dropped in last night for a meal we all had a magnificent meal risotto, steak, entree, dessert and coffee fantastic staff very friendly and attentive great wine

Friendly and officiant staff, great food, excellent coffee and cakes. My calamari, which are so easy to overcook, were very tender and delicious. It can get a bit noisy, but it is just another indicator how popular this place is, and justly so.
