48hr Pizza & Gnocchi Bar

Was recommended this place by my Italian friend who said this was the best Pizza she had outside of her home town in Napoli.

Well I definitely wasn't disappointed.although this place was super busy, the manager created space for sitting inside. The staff were very friendly, and when asked for recommendations, took the time to explain and suggest some good options.

The pizza was indeed delicious. Perfect amount and generous toppings, super thin base with good quality ingredients. You eat it and don't bloat or feel full. The gnocchi was fluffy and soft, the flavours reminded me of a perfectly home cooked meal my mother makes! The dessert was absolutely delicious, freshly made on the spot and just perfect to finish off the dinner. This place is 100% worth the visit. Thank you for a beautiful experience! Grazie!

I’ve recently moved to Melbourne and was on the hunt for good pizza, the hunt is over! This is easily the best pizza I’ve ever had. I don’t think I’ll be going anywhere else ever again!

Really impressed with our meals last night. The prosciutto pizza was 10/10. The staff were all extremely friendly and warm - with my own family in the restaurant business, I notice and appreciate other restaurants who truly care for their customers and take pride in their food. We will be back!

Got the di Parma pizza (award winner). It's a nice pizza. Prosciutto is quality. Ingredients are obviously good. Hard to live up to the tag, but certainly enjoyable. The smell when walking in to pick up the pizza was amazing. The woodfire oven smell just makes you want to eat. Will definitely go back.

Papari pipipiri papari. I had a great meal here. Fantastic gnocchi. Great wine. Great service. The pizza is really good, miles above the average pizza places in Australia, that is very low. You can't miss this place. It is just a walking distance from the former Daily Planet.

Came here with my partner after having such a great experience the first time with a friend. The pizzas are excellent and delicious, probably the best I've ever had. The only negative experience the second time around which was dissapointing was a waiter named Camila who was quite rude/defensive due to a misscomunication because of a language barrier. I ended up aplogising just to calm her down.

Food was amazing, cocktails were amazing, and the customer service was even better. Great family business feel, really Italian energy and spirit.
Make sure to get yourself a chilli oil on your way out!

As per their name, their pizza and gnocchi are super tasty and of top quality. Fresh ingredients and full of flavour. They also have a good selection of wine to go with the meal. Tiramisu is a must!

What can we about Fabio and 48h Pizza? We were stuck when deciding what to do for food for our wedding and then we met 48h Pizza at the Coburg Night Market. From the very first correspondence with Fabio, we knew that there was something special in the making. Fabio and 48h pizza were not only excellent with their communication being prompt to respond to questions, but also had us coming into both Elsternwick and South Yarra to try ALL their pizza options on their menu in anticipation for our wedding. They greeted us like old friends from the first moment and had us trying their Sopressa salami and recommended wine from the get go. Fabio was always SO accommodating and understanding of our wedding budget and when it came to the day was SO easy to work with. For instance, on the morning of the wedding, we had to change the whole layout as it was too windy to have anything outside. When updating Fabio with the change, it was never any worry for him and he just wanted to ensure we had the best day. Upon cheers to their arrival, everything was RIDICULOUSLY EPIC from Fabio and 48h Pizza. They went above and beyond for us, EVERYONE couldn't get enough of their pizzas, smiles, Italian flavour and positivity.
I have lived in Italy and this is the closest Italian pizza and Italian food I have eaten in Melbourne.
FOR ALL ITALIAN FOOD NEEDS, GET ONTO 48H PIZZA E GNOCCHI!

Such a good place to have amazing food.
We ordered two of their vegetarian pizzas and the tiramisu, I'm not gonna lie to you, it's one of the best pizzas I've had in years.
The ingredients were fresh, the base was a perfect combination of lightness and fluffiness and the service was attentive and nice.
I had such an amazing experience there!

Excellent restaurant to eat the real Italian taste. The pizza is very good and the gnocchi are also very good. Great service, kind and with a very Italian way of doing. Nice experience, I will definitely come back to eat at 48h.

In my personal opinion here they have the best pizza you can find in Melbourne. Anyway has a cool menu with different kind of entrees, fresh pasta and sides. Nice choice of cheeses as well.

I recommend to book if you go in the weekend cause it's a very small place.

The most freshest and delicious Italian food! I have dietary requirements and there was a lot of dishes to choose from. All pizzas and freshly baked bread can be made gluten free so we ordered the rosemary and salt focaccia and it was so good, we couldn't even tell it was gluten free. Try the place. You won't regret it!

Great atmosphere, staff are all friendly and welcoming. The food is all authentic Italian with cool little twists. Like the activated black charcoal gnocchi served up in a hollowed out pecorino cheese roll. OMG! Delicious! Pizza is fab as well.

Really excellent dishes, had the pecorino gnocchi which comes in a cheese rind which they scoop out for you at the table. We also had a Montenara salad and the tiramisu for dessert was one of the best I've ever had in my life. Cheesecake was a delicious strawberry-lime-mint combination. The Spritz lipstick was a fantastic combo of Rose and raspberry flavors. All around fabulous meal!
