48hr Pizza & Gnocchi Bar

Fantastic Italian restaurant in a very convenient location right next to the station. The food is wonderful and lovingly hand made by the chef's right next to you. There is a traditional pizza oven and the prosciutto is cut fresh before it hits the plate. The price is on the premium end but that's expected for that kind of quality. All the drinks and food was stunning.

Food is good. The space is quiet small so we were all too close to each other, but service was very good though.

I recently dined at the Gnocci Bar, and I must say, I was impressed by their namesake dish, the gnocci. The restaurant's name is spot on because their gnocci is truly a standout. It was soft and flavorful, a real delight. However, I found the pizza to be just alright. The pizza's base was exceptionally fresh and had a great texture, but the toppings left a bit to be desired. I believe they could improve on the variety and quality of toppings to make their pizza offerings even better.

Took my fiancé here after proposing, delicious food, amazing chocolate cheesecake and A1 service! Highly recommend! Will definitely be returning! Grazie!

Our most recent visit was disappointing. The gnocchi was lumpy and pizza was average at best. Such a shame because it was once the best we’d tried in Melbourne.

Lovely meal at 48hr gnocchi in Elsternwick. A little on the expensive side - $40 for a medium sized mushroom tagliatelle. Cheese and garlic focaccia was really a pizza - was expecting a thicker type of dough. Was delicious though! Very noisy inside but it was a nice night so we sat outdoors.

Loved the pizza. I have a few favourite spots for pizza across Melbourne but this one is on top of the list.

We tried the di Parma pizza. It was definitely very delicious.
The gnocchi however was average.
The Nutella filled deep fried Dough was also pretty delicious.
The service was mediocre though. Didn't offer us water, take out orders or offer us the dessert menu without us having to wait for a while and try to get a staff member's attention to be served.

They were voted best pizza in Australia for a reason! And all their other food was spectacular! Authentic Italian in every way!

We love this place. Great food and a real Italian feel. It makes us feel like we're on a European vacation every time!

Pizzas were great and they looked amazing, the crust fantastic.

I had the Urieca pizza, was a little bit wet under the bottom center, although beautiful and delicious. Also had an Italian thick chocolate that was not thick at all, just powdered chocolate mixed with water.

Staff was not very welcoming or attentive, might have been a busy day.

Overall, for pizza lovers, it's definitely worth many visits.

If I could give 6 stars, I would. I must have walked past the amazing gem hundreds of times, without going in. I decided my birthday was the time for my first visit, and I was not disappointed. The staff, and who I gather are the owners or operators, were exceptionally attentive.
I do not often have gnocchi, so it was a real treat eating what is probably the best in Melbourne, if not Australia.
The open kitchen also allowed me to see unbelievable pizza after pizza being made. I know what I will be ordering when I visit again.

Love this pizza sooo much. In lockdown I survived on there delicious warm pizza. The Di Parma is the best. When dining it’s a very little sitting area so feels cozy and very Italian style.

Delicious gnocchi and pizza, and a great place for gluten free peeps! You can't even tell the difference with the gf pizza bases. Recommend the vege arancini too
You get generous servings of gnocchi too, so come hungry. Oh and the cocktails aren't bad either, maybe skip the mojito and go for the spritzes! Fun and friendly service too.

Incredible pizza, hand made pasta and gnocchis. All the staff are Italian.
The place just exudes tradition, even in Italy you would be happy to find a place as authentic as this.

Just went last night for the first time to have dinner at 48H with my friends and … my god was delicious!
Everything was amazing.from the food to the service! Beef carpaccio and special pizza were just beautiful.but the best part.the wood fire gnocchi! It was melting in my mouth! I can’t wait to be back!
