48h Pizza & Gnocchi Bar South Yarra

So you love Pizza, well have you tried the Pizza Di Parma, its simply very very good, then try the Gnocchi, all just perfect.
They have a rather good Italian wine selection to.makes for a super fun night.
The service is superb!

Fabulous service and food! We had the gnocchi ragu and it was deliciously fluffy and soft! We also ordered a serving of the calamari and the fried dough - great when dipped in the ragu. Would highly recommend this place.:)

It's a really nice place with exceptional italian Food, the pizzas are amazing and the staff are really adorable.

Really love this place for honest and authentic Italian. The Di Parma is mine and my husbands favourite, although everything we have tried here is amazing. Staff are fantastic also!

I can’t fault the food! Simply great quality at a fair price. However the service could had been handled in a more polite manner instead it was the opposite.
We were a table of 3 with a 6.30 pm start. 2 of us did arrive late, however upon the first arrival there was an issue with our booking and I had to send a text message to my friend already there with confirmation of booking to Prove it.
Upon my arrival I straight away apologised to our lovely Italian waiter for our delay and no problems at all were raised. We ordered and during all of it no time frame was ever given to us on our booking … no mention whatsoever that we only had a short time due to next booking at 8 pm.
Our wine arrived then food and within 20 to 30 minutes in a lady which I assume was the manager come to us and told us we had to leave! Our food was half way only, the bill was put into our table and we were rushed out. I did say but we still eating! I politely and trying to understand the times covid lock downs etc then asked if we could at least finish our wine outside … and take the rest of pizza home … that should had been offered to us instead of even me suggesting!
We made it work again respecting tough times, but while outside not much of a service was given to us, in fact I asked for 2 extra glasses of wine and was told that a waiter was going to come and take the order, which never happened. So we just left! … it was freezing by the way.
In times such as this you do not treat clients that way, yes, I was late but simply because of staying back for a client … see the irony?
The matter could had been resolved in a Totally diferente manner where the manager failed to see the business opportunity instead of focusing solely on getting the other booked in.
In this case she might have upset 2 lots if bookings when could had maximised both with better communication and selling skills.
When I used the toilet facilities there were bar tables free! That was never suggested to even move there! Bottom line - bad management and communication. We could had spend so much more …

Pizza was delicious and service was very attentive. But
we had the displeasure of having very noisy customers next to our table. We waited for someone to tell them to behave appropriately but it didn't happen. A part from that, it was a lovely night.

My partner and I went there for dinner last time, she ordered the award winning pizza which was great, and I ordered the ‘special’, which was a gnocchi with homemade Italian pork sausage and truffle. The dish was extremely underwhelming. This is the second time I have tried a ‘special’ gnocchi from there and both times have been terrible experiences. The pork was minced pork and it did not have anything ‘Italian’ about it. The entire dish as a whole was dry, and I’m not sure where they source their truffle from but it didn’t have any flavour and didn’t add anything to the dish.
The only positive was that they gave us a discount on the meal when we went to pay ($49 for the gnocchi dish), and the staff apologised. Next time I’ll be sticking to the pizzas.

The best gluten free base. Some great flavours. Just don't sit near the door on a cold night as a lot of customers seem to have been born in tents.

This place has one of the customer service; very friendly and attentive staff! Food was all reasonable priced and tasted amazing! 100% recommend!

They've won an award for one of their pizzas and I can see why! Tastes absolutely amazing and generous with toppings. The food took a while to come out but definitely worth the wait. Loved every bite! Will definitely return:)

Left less than impressed with our dining experience recently. The pizza special on the board had all the usual toppings for a pizza "bianco" including fig, gorgonzola and raddicchio but instead came with a tomato sauce base which proved to be an unappetizing combination. The base was also wafer thin and soggy. My husband ordered a gnocchi dish which was very dry and weirdly came drizzled with balsamic vinegar and small segments of fig which were uncaramelised and so were just added cold to the dish. Really expensive at $29 each. The coffee and desserts however, were very good but not enough to redeem this disappointing dining experience.

I ordered the Pizza Di Parma and Ragu Gnocchi. The pizza Di Parma was phenomenal but it pains me to say the Gnocchi was extremely disappointing. It had the texture of severely undercooked potatoes and tasted like it too. We unfortunately couldn't stomach this dish.
Will definitely order the pizza again but I'm not sure if we were just unlucky to get a poorly made serve of Gnocchi considering the rest of the reviews here.

This place had been on my list of Italian restaurants to go to for a while and it did not disappoint. Can confirm the pizza and gnocchi are both delicious and the cannoli was perfect to finish off the night. On top of the delicious food, the staff are super friendly and make for a great evening. Will definitely be coming back

Fantastic italian restaurant in the heart of South Yarra. The gnocchi are just the best dish you can have here. I definitely recommend the gnocchi al gorgonzola, my favourites. Wildfire pizza are really good too and they also offer few options including a French style fondue with pizza crust on top.

Amazing place. The pizzas are very much the same style you would get in Italy. Only been there a few times but is fast becoming a favourite.

Delicious, fresh and authentic pizza and pasta. Fast and friendly service. Make a booking because the venue isn’t very big and it packs out quickly.

Unfortunately we did not like the food. We ordered the veg pizza and the gnocchi. We did not like the pizza at all it was too bland and I have had much better gnocchi for that price. For desserts we ordered tiramisu and panna cotta which was just average. The food was pricey for what we got. Staff was friendly and nice!
